Thanks for posting! It's a great video and sounds fine to me. First time getting to hear PJ with the Beth Hart band. Loved what he did! Glad you had a great time at the show.   wink

P.S. PJ tweeted that he was terrified. Jeff Beck was to his left offstage. That would be a bit of pressure wouldn't it? wink

Just found this one... Caught Out in the Rain... geez... love what PJ did here too! Not to mention Beth's vocals.

(Someone was complaining on twitter that the sound at this show was bad. Not sure I know what they're talking about?)

Re: Beth Hart

Thanks for the great vids, and Pete has the magical touch no matter what camera he's using! I don't know how you keep you hand so steady??

PJ sounds awesome! I mentioned in a previous post we saw PJ while in Las Vegas a year ago October. It was really quite by chance walking by HOB after dinner in Mandalay Bay and asked if they had live music that evening. We weren't sure what to expect and it was a most enjoyable, relaxing evening of great music by PJ Barth and his band we stayed for both sets smile

Also, thanks for clarifying the Later with Jools Holland was cut short in the US. I thought I was going crazy I knew Brack had posted video of Bang Bang Boom Boom! And BTW I realized when I went looking for the BBBB Jools Holland link, I thought I had made a post thanking Brack for posting those videos and to BOH for answering my questions about the website and the BBBB US release, but I don't see it now? I must not have hit submit, I hope that's all I get a little paranoid when I'm missing a post lol  I would like to purchase tshirts once they get it working in the US, please keep us posted smile

Here's a great performance of Everyday With You at the London show. I cracked up at the beginning when she tells the audience that the heels won't last the evening...

Re: Beth Hart

........and Bonapostle did 'cos I met here there and weren't we lucky!

This was my first BH live concert. There really are not the words, but I will try to find them to describe it.

As some of you will know from my posts I am often critical of live sound being ruined by the engineers for being unnecessarily loud. So credit where it is due.

The sound at last night Markthalle concert was fabulous. Absolutely brilliant. Beth was high but not too high in the mix so she could use all her vocal dynamic. No one else in the band was louder than anyone else other than when they soloed and the mix was perfect. No need for any ear plugs, it was raucous when it needed to be and sublime when required. It shows that it CAN be done.

Given that aural platform to start with Beth Hart is nothing short of stupendous. Seemingly there is nothing she cannot do. The vocals come from the heart and the music from her very soul. She lives the songs and you can only live them with her.

Rhianna, Beyonce, Anastasia, et al might be commercial superstars but Beth Hart has more heart, soul, fire and.........humility than any of them and of any female singer I have ever seen or heard.

To witness such a consumate performance was nothing short of an honour. I have not been so impressed by a performance for a very long time. I know she sang the 'Don't explain' vocals live in the studio but I wasn't prepared to see her hit or surpass every note on every song high or low.

She is simply magnificent, an incredibly talented lady with a magnificent band. Special mention to touring guitarist PJ who, when required, demonstrated an awesome talent.

The crowd responded as it had to. With standing ovations that required a second encore. I felt she was genuinely touched, but she should know that she touched us more. When you can walk out of the door with THAT feeling. It is such a great feeling and you don't get that every time.

For me it was a PERFECT CONCERT.

Thank you Beth Hart. 'Til we meet again.

Netherlands - she's coming your way. You lucky, lucky people!

P.S. Here's a video of Beth performing a song from the Leave the Light On album called Lifetime. We hardly ever get to hear this one live so I'm happy to see her performing it. wink

Thanks BOH! I received a Beth newsletter today telling all about it! Awesome expsosure, the saw tabloid tv show "Extra" showing the who's who that were in attendance last night. I can't wait to see the special.

Great review Hansamike, I really like this statement, these artists are all very good but there is something special about Beth's vocals. She really brings the emotion in me out when i listen to her. Hope to get the chance to see her perform live someday soon.

Re: Beth Hart

The Cologne show in November seems to be on youtube completely:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thaHPlS53wc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVAz3_zIadw
It seems that she couldn't stop singing and playing ... and I didn't go cause I don't like the venue.
What a stupid decision!
