Topic: Ryan McGarvey's new album, Redefined
I am writing to see if anyone can help me get a copy of Mr. McGarvey's new album. The album, Redefined, has been "available" in the US since June 2012, but it can not be purchased commercially, except at one of his shows. Unfortunately, his shows seem to be somewhat infrequent in the US and he currently has no scheduled shows anywhere close to where I live. I tried to e-mail him directly to see if I could by a copy from him (or whoever reads his e-mails), but I got no response back. I understand that he has had difficulty finding a distributor for the album, but I simply find this very hard to believe. I am no expert on music contracts or legal issues regarding distribution of albums, but to have an album that has been "out" for 5-6 months and still not readily available for widespread purchase just seems to be a bit incredible to me. Considering how well his first album did thru Cd Baby, I am stumped as to why this new disk (which has gotten lots a very positive reviews) is still largely sitting around boxed up in someone's basement. I'm not sure if he has a manager or not, but if he does, he probably needs to look into finding a new one... But I digress, if anyone out there has a copy that they would be willing to sell, please let me know. Better yet, if any one knows of a way to buy the disk (outside of attending one of his shows), then please let me know. And please, do not tell me that the album will be for sale on-line "soon", because Mr. McGarvey's own website has been carrying this message for the past 3-4 months. Thanks for any help that can be provided...
