Re: Does Joe use Finger Ease?

I only use nut sauce when the guitar isn't tuning smoothly. Each time I apply it usually lasts 3-4 string changes. For me anyway.

I was just going to say...I use a pencil. Never had any trouble.

I used pencil for years (decades) but I gave in and bought nut sauce and it is a little better and at the rate you need to use it it really will last years.

I'd certainly use pencil again - it's about 90% as good.

Re: Does Joe use Finger Ease?

Well, I've learned a lot about Nut Sauce, fulfilling my something new every day quota.  Since ChrisUK gives a 90% effective rate to the tried and true 2B graphite (pencil;)) treatment, one wonders if Nut Sauce has grapite as a main ingredient.   And a little silicone thrown in for good lasting measure?

Any one of you yahoos take chemistry and can tell me WHAT is in Nut Sauce.

Cute name.  Probably pay a bit just for it.  I am wondering if I can get the same stuff cheap, no long drive or carrier and shipper delay, no fancy packaging or labeling, right in the local Radio Shack.  Bet there's a close match...

I am guessing any proprietary "premium" cabability for Nut Sauce is for serious players who play with some serious "abuse".  Any use.  String Bending secret. wink
