They raised nearly a million dollars and guessing he will present the check before the game. In spite of the grief and criticism he has taken I'm wowed by this effort. He just went up a few notches in my book. However, still a Bama fan. We play tonight vs a no-name, but wait til you see Devonta Pollard. By the time we get to the game with KY he could be killing it. just a projection.
Yeah, Cal's added a new feather in his cap and this year's team is going to surprise some people. This team won't be as talented as his first three, but I like this team's depth and chemistry potential. The Louisville game will be an interesting battle and I feel Calipari will be up to the task. Game of the year until we get payback in the NCAAs.

Watched the Blue/White scrimmage and 2 exhibition games, we're good but still learning. Nerlens is great but I'm really liking Cauley-Stein. Been crazy busy and haven't had much time to get to the forum. I have a 5 day weekend hoping to get some time to catch up here! GO CATS!!!!
Yes, the telethon was a big success, I may have this wrong but I think the telethon raised $500K and Papa John's commited $1.00 for every pizza sold that day I think is what put it up to a million. And you can give him another feather in his cap, he had a guest Assistant Coach on the bench for the UK Transylvania game, George Goodwin, Father of Lane Goodwin, the brave young man that just lost his battle with cancer.
We had a tight one up in Brooklyn, although from what I understand we lost a decent lead. When we came out of Joe's show at the Taft, they had the game on in the lobby. Since we were hoping to catch Joe and the guys at the buses after the show we watched the game until they kicked us out. There were about 2 1/2 minutes left and the lead was back & forth when walked to the buses. Once home we did not watch the entire game I had recorded just those last 2 minutes we missed. Harrow, out sick and our Junior walk on was the hero, doesn't get any better than that
Next up Duke, Tuesday night, I hate to lose to Duke more than any other team out there. I hope these young guys can pull it off this early in the season should be a great game to watch. And before that you can catch our 6th ranked Lady Cats go up against #1 Baylor Tuesday also. Highest preseason ranking ever for the Lady Cats. It's going to be a big night for basketball in the Big Blue Nation for sure!
This will be of interest to Angela, hope you see this. The 1st game of our preseason exhibition games was against Northwood. Their Head Coach is Rollie Massimino, he was honored before the game and in an interview at halftime said this was his 1st time back in Rupp Arena since the 1985 National Championship.
