Focus ? wouldn't be the same band that gave us, 'Hocus Pocus" in the 70's .... would it ??

Oh yeah.... this may be me, knit-picking..... but, Surrey & Kent are outside the London area..... just sayin' smile

Thanks Mike.

I've updated as far as the Feenstra venues. The second half of the list will have to wait until next week.

Brack, The Feenstra venues in Kent and Surrey are major venues and are easily reached from South London. They have always been included in the London Gig Guide, which you'll see if you turn to page 1 of this thread. It's my ball and I'll do what I like. lol

Looks like it time to give the Forth bridge a second coat.....

Yardbirds (50th Anniversary gig) + Jay Tamkin Band @ Twickenham Stadium; St Georges Suite  15th March 2013

Unless some wag tells me TW1 1DZ isn't in "the smoke"...

If you're travelling there by minibus, did you know it's illegal to carry alcohol on the vehicle? Same applies if your heading to Murryfield by minibus. Strange, the things that lurk in your mind.

Gig Guide updated but it's probably time to start all over again. roll

Thanks Kenny and Mike for your recent additions. Jon Amour's appearance at the 100 Club on 19th December is part of Todd Sharpville's Xmas Blues Party which also features the ubiquitous Marcus Bonfanti and Paul Lamb. Should be a great jam and a late finish guaranteed.

Here's a band I was told about recently - The Temperance Movement... Playing TONIGHT, at The 100 Club! 8PM, in a multi-band line-up/night event (you know what I mean)... About £8 or so I believe... Sounding pretty good! They've had airplay on Planet Rock, and even played the Albert Hall this year (as part of the Sunflower Jam)... Great players - all session musicians, from what I've heard... Should be a good night!

Re: The London Gig Guide

Hey Russ, if I wasn't going to see Evanescence tonight I would have been at The Temperance Movement gig. No question!!

Re: The London Gig Guide

Hope the Evanescence gig was amazing wink Coz Temperance were on FIRE! Best small (although packed out) gig I'd been to for a while; still can't quite believe what I was seeing/hearing... DEFINITELY a band to keep an eye out for... Heck. I feel like a douche saying that, they're all incredible musicians in their own right - all session guys, and damn good songwriters, but seriously, the chemistry, stage-presence, was just something I couldn't take my eyes away from... But the way they just worked together, was out of this world... I think I have a new favourite band...
