You get a killer sound even with DSL 100's!!

Brilliant. Like Stefan says...I have never heard someone make a DSL sound so good.

About pedals, anybody try that Sanyo Kbc-9V3U Pedal Juice..? I was thinking of buy one and i'll be happy to hear any experience of that battery.

edit: I discover that Sonny Landreth use that...so can't be that bad wink

Women, whiskey and miles of travelin' is all I understand

I was gonna say Sonny Landreth uses one, yes. If they hold enough power like he says they do, then I do like the idea. I would like to try one.

My ONLY real gripe with it is that the effects have to be daisy chained using 1 cable. Some pedals power inputs are at different spots and that creates a problem. I wish they made a small unit like the Boss DC Brick or the Gator power supply with a couple outputs on it to run SEPARATE power cables to each pedal while still essentially running like a battery.

Re: what's the mystery pedal on your new board, joe?

I wonder how joe has really come to this decision ? He spent so long getting his sound !!
I thought peter van weeldon was gonna build him a pedal??
He always said celestions blow all the time ,
Why no dumble  style head involved??
Questions we all need to have answers for ... :-)

Mmmmmmm. ... It's a very big change for someone to be so precise about the sound!!
Looking forward to hearing this!

It'll be a lot of fun to hear Joe blowing through a wall of vintage Marshalls with his Bursts! A rare treat to be able to hear such a classic pairing played by someone who can play so well! =-)

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Joe's tone now, but I'm sure that a good part of what I enjoy is his phrasing, bending, vibrato, etc... Basically, Joe. ;-)  Some of my own favorite Joe moments have been when I've heard off the cuff clips of him with a very straightforward cranked Superlead or Superbass type tone (regardless of the gear being used) channelling Cream or Beano era Clapton and EJ (with his own amazing thing happening, of course).

Maybe this will inspire the next album to be his Beano or WOF (couldn't hurt to have Beth help out for a few!). =-D

It'll be interesting to see how Joe gets around blowing the lower wattage Greenbacks... Guess the recipe will either include lots of cabs, lots of spares (Like the classic days! LOL!), or less stage volume.

Sounds like fun!

I'll be very interested to see which newer production Greenback-types he prefers, if not going completely vintage.
