Bang Bang Boom Boom :-)
Got that one coming! That looks like the usual suspects in the studio. Caveman has it down now.

Picked up out of the world of twitter that Beth has another guest guitarist for the forthcoming European tour. A guy called PJ Barth, american Blues/R&B guitarist. Maybe replacing Josh Gooch from the last tour or maybe as support? Anyone come across him before? Sounds good.

Yes he's replacing Josh Gooch as guest guitarist. Josh is going to tour with Shania Twain. I don't know much about PJ Barth but looking forward to hearing him play - on YouTube at least.
ps. Nice to see Beth get a little press in the U.S. There's a video released from around the 2007 era. Very nice one. Love the piano.

Glasgow for me too. Oran Mor is a great wee venue!
Is that album cover HOT or what?

Looks as if she wants to promote lingerie. Not so impressed!

As a woman I'll just state I love the album cover. The music is heavily influenced by 1940's era singers and she wanted to do something like the old fashioned pin-ups from that era. She worked with Hollywood photographer Jeff Katz, had a great stylist Sasa Jalali and makeup artist Cathy Highland. The photos they took are amazing and I think they did a great job.
Beth stated in a French interview that she is getting more in touch with her feminine side. She's always been very powerful and "rock n' roll" on stage and maybe a bit tomboyish. Now she's enjoying her feminine side more.
I did see a couple comments on her Facebook of people complaining that this "isn't her." As a fan of several years that makes me laugh. This woman used to flash the audience in her more wild days. This picture is tame for Beth.
P.S. She wore practically the same kind of thing for her performance at the Bospop festival in Holland - only with biker boots. Put on a pair of stilettos and people freak out.
No complaints from me. She could come out in a Hijab and I'd pay to hear her sing. I saw her sing two songs live and that was enough to convince me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqaHfmJUI_Y and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD0HnZ7fk90

Good Luck to her. From that clip, I can't really hear 40's style singers. Can't say much about that band either. And Kevin what makes different styles sound good is if they are done well, not that you just have different styles on a record. Can already hear on this record his touch.

It's good to hear some background infos regarding the foto shooting.
For me it's too stylish. I can't really see Beth behind the make-up and everything.
But that won't stop me to buy the album.
It will be interesting to see what Kevin does with these 40 styles songs .I'm sure it will be excellent. On the flipside,I am holding out hope that the next Joe and Beth cd be an all out assault.I mean unleash some blues rock power. These 2 could tear the roof off if unleashed.Well that's my wish.

Discovered PJ while in Vegas last October. His band was playing in the club/restaurant side of the House of Blues. We enjoyed 2 great sets that night he is really a great guitarist. He also plays BB King's Blues Club in the Mirage Hotel & Casino and some other clubs around the strip as well. I found him on Facebook after the show hoping we could catch him again before we left or on our next trip out. I read his post on FB he would be touring with Beth and he is very excited for the tour!
I also want to shout out a big thanks to BOH for keeping us all so informed about Beth. I really appreciate all the information you share here. I had never heard of Beth until her collaboration with Joe and I have become a big fan

I agree Gary. We don't really know if they will do another soul record or if they will change up the style on the next one do we? I agree if they did a balls out blues rock album they definitely could do some serious damage. I'd love it.
