Chow's gym that she trains in is approximately 20 mins from me. I imagine Chow's gym will
be come the training mecca.....Shawn Johnson & Gabby Douglas aka USA Gold!
I went to see Shawn Johnson when she returned to Iowa after the Olympics and
I imagine if I can, I will go see Gabby come back. Thrilling experience!
Many congratulations to all the participants of the 2012 Olympics!

Patty, in the midst of the most ridiculously over-scripted, over-produced, over-biased at many times (=ho hum to me, just report) Olympics since 1984, Gabby Douglas will be THE SHINING STAR remembered forever. What a truly lovely, very remarkable girl!!! I hope, make that am sure, that Des Moines can celebrate her with great pride. The local level deserves that the most. And it is not a matter of nationalism as much a matter of the heart. If anyone can look at Gabby the total person and not believe in SOMETHING GOOD, something is wrong...with...them.

ps-more unscripted greatness in the camaraderie between almost all athletes is NOT TO BE OVERLOOKED! Best ever, and a blessing to finally see. Maybe all that "it's not whether you win or lose..." stuff IS important!? True hardcore competition and top level sportsmanship...life is good.
pps-the crowds are superstars (which trumps all the hype ) also!
