Tabs!? What are they?! lol I haven't used tabs for about 2 years!

Alright I guess I could do that...as long as you don't mind it on a Les Paul! Will make it more unique I guess

And lol ... definitely envy you for that one...

Fingers were red raw by the time I decided to record...so not as good as it could be but here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSga3Axcdio

Re: Jonny Lowther (New York Song on 10th Page)

That was tits man! Are you using amplitube for that tone? Sounds killer. I was racking my brain earlier trying to get a similar tone with my rig. Broke out the 100 watters, not used to them since I've been using small stuff for a while. -Seth

Killer tone Jonny. Well done on a difficult solo.

Re: Jonny Lowther (New York Song on 10th Page)

Cheers guys!

Yeah I was just using the Slash plug-in again...obviously doesn't sound like Slash's tone on this one as I cut the highs and increased the mids and lows and added some reverb and delay...a bit of auto-wah too

Re: Jonny Lowther (New York Song on 10th Page)

Yeah, definitely has the DTTDaylight lead tone nailed and it wasn't a song from that album! Very mellow, like that tone a lot for leads. Let us know when the Jonny Lowther Forum arrises! -Seth

Yeah it's pretty cool...I'm starting to go into more computer software for amps now as I will be at Uni within the next year or so and I can't bring my amps there!

And I've actually been seriously thinking recently about recording an album! Brett Diaz has agreed to play bass...my mum used to be a professional keyboard player and I'm sure a drummer will be easy enough to find tongue Just need a singer..hmm...

If you have any ideas for songs for me to re-do and re-work for the album...please let me know! Linda Moke has given me a few good ones smile

Re: Jonny Lowther (New York Song on 10th Page)

Having not seen this thread before, I saw the first clip and just had to watch them all. To echo so many other comments, yes the tone is great, but the playing (which is most important) is truly excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you in all the videos. Keep it up, who knows where you'll end up, but if you continue at the same rate, I can only imagine where you could be in the future.

Best of luck with it all and if ever you're north in the Midlands, bring your Les Paul, it would be a pleasure to jam with you sometime. I might learn something. smile

Thanks a lot for taking the  time for that fantastic comment! Made my day! Here is another http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Obu3mpfierA

I would love to have a jam!

Re: Jonny Lowther (New York Song on 10th Page)

Sounding good as usual man! You've peaked my interest in the amplitube thing. I was watching some videos, mainly Slash himself, with the amplitube stuff. I have a macbook, but I like the iPad for this since you can do everything with the touch of the screen though I couldn't justify buying one JUST to have an amplitube based practice rig..but it would be cool. Getting an iPhone next month so I might get the software then. And I guess you can play live through a real amp using amplitube (through the effects loop return)?

Thanks! I am looking for a few guitarists to play some fill-in guitar (Like Brad Whitford did on DTTD) on my album ... Would you like to play on a few tracks?

You should be able to play live with it ... i use a macbook too. Not sure about running it through a real amp .. Google it!

Re: Jonny Lowther (New York Song on 10th Page)

Dude, i'd love to play some rhythms and grooves on whatever you got when you got it bro, count me in!

I've been google'ing the amplitube info. Might see if guitar center has it loaded on anything to try it out then.
