Yea, dont get me wrong, Slash is as genuine and honest as Rock & Roll guitar players get, and has a great ear for melody that resonates with people...
...but i can't ignore the fact that his vibrato needs attention, it sounds like the nervous 15 year old buying his first guitar in the guitar store(sounds that way to me anyway)

However he probably has more people 'air-guitaring' in their bedrooms than any other guitarist

His ear for melody is mind boggling ... I don't know how he does it every time. And in regard to the vibrato...I dunno...sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't ... he CAN do a really nice vibrato (In the GN'R days)...however I think his style is perfect for the music he plays!
