After the first name thread, I was afraid you were going to say you from Gary (IN), lol!

I grew up in Chicago, I work in downtown Chicago, but currently live in Crystal Lake, IL which is about 40 miles NW of downtown Chicago.
I love the Chicago area, but my heart resides in the Minnesota/Canadian wilderness.

Re: where you from ?

I'm in Kenosha, WI. Home of the "legendary" Brat Stop, Tenuta's Italian Deli, Snap-On Tools and my personal favorite, Jockey underwear. We are also home to some pretty fantastic pizza. Some call it KenoWhere but it's not so bad. Milwaukee and Chicago are both easily accessible.

Re: where you from ?

I live about 10 minutes outside of York, PA. Not actually York proper as stated by my avatar. Around here, people have this weird half southern, half hick accent..its lovely. And there favorite saying is "I seen" instead of "I saw".

And BarbieD, I missed the Snap On tool guy today but I'll tell him you said hello from Kenosha next week! -S

Re: where you from ?

I live in a small village, Trawden which is just on the Lancashire side of the border with Yorkshire. I'm originally from Sheffield, Yorkshire. Home of all things specialist steel, cutlery etc, and of  course home of the Blades. big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: where you from ?

Although born in Poole (which I am proud to say is where Joe's first UK gig was smile - At Mr Kyps, my favourite venue of all time) I live in Ferndown, a town on the outskirts of Bournemouth, (which Joe calls 'Malibu of England' lol ) The town very much next to Poole.. Haven't moved much in my life yet! Haha.. Although hoping to move to London this Autumn, if my University grades are met smile

Re: where you from ?

Greater Chicagoland is an apt description of my general whereabouts, over time.  I was born at Fort Benjamin Harrison, near Indianapolis.  But I grew up in Chicago and southern suburb of South Holland.  Then up to western suburbs (Oak Lawn, Chicago Ridge, Hickory Hills.)

In my worklife, I've been something of a road warrior.  Back in 2000, I spent the year working and living in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Now I'm in Northwest Indiana (Hammond/Highland area).  So I guess I've returned to my Hoosier roots for a while.

I've always felt home was where I hung my hat. wink

As Joe sang it very well at Rockpalast, "I Don't Live Anywhere":

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

I live in a small town, where they make little red guitar picks.

Re: where you from ?

I cannot help think that this thread would be better with some pictures or links rather than just text...?

I was born and raised in Guildford, Surrey which is lovely historic town 20 something miles south of London. It has a cobbled High Street and its own castle and some okay music venues, - I grow up in a village just outside of Guildford, not far from where some guitarist called Eric Clapton also grew up.

Now live in Sussex (so named because it was inhabited by the Saxon's) near Gatwick airport.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Re: where you from ?

I live in Adelaide, South Australia:  nice quiet city with lots of laid back folks and it's where Jimmy Barnes and John Swan were raised and also where Bon Scott met AC/DC!! Like everything in Australia the other capital cities are a long way away!! It's a two day drive to Sydney... Unfortunately the music scene isn't awesome here in Adelaide either!! But it small enough for me to easily do well here!! I like Adelaide, nice quiet and relaxed here!!

All the best from Aus,

- Stefan
