Before you make copies of the new album for too many friends, please don't forget that Ryan is a young artist ...
The new CD will probably be available soon via official sellers.

You really don't have to worry about these people here, Eva. Everyone here supports many young artists and they all buy their cd's. We were just offering an opportunity to those who were unable to get hold of the cd by other means. Like I did last year with Tijuana Bible, as a result of which numerous copies were sold as soon as people saw the Jim Suhler show and were able to buy the cd! wink

Re: Ryan McGarvey

The CD relese party was great last night! Ryan pretty much played all the songs live off of the new CD. I asked him about when the CD would be available on line and he said he thought it would be through his web site after the CD release party in Santa Fe on June 22nd.

I don't know about photos, there was hardly any stage lighting, and what there was on Ryan was a blue gray color..... well see when I get back home and can take a look at them on a proper computer screen.

The new CD rocks!

Re: Ryan McGarvey

Rhonda was right. The stage lighting is less than to be desired there. Dark, dark, dark.  I did manage to capture some video, from the second set. The first set (with all the new album, naturally), was hampered by a problem with the PA, with much crackling and buzzing, which made any video unusable. But that did clear up by the second set.

Anyway, here are a couple videos. Ones you've heard before, but they're still quality songs :

Re: Ryan McGarvey

So I thought this CD was due out at the end of June in the US.  Cant find it on Amazon or on CDBaby or from Ryan's website.  Any idea where I can buy this?

Re: Ryan McGarvey

I spoke with Ryan earlier today and asked about the CD and where people can get it, that Joe's forum is ASKING! He said that there was a "hiccup" with getting it on line and that they were working on it... I will keep everyone posted as I get more info becomes available.

The guy can play, but both of those songs sounded like Joe at different stages in his career. Sorry, but I'll just stick with the REAL deal.

Re: Ryan McGarvey

I can pretty much garantee that is not by choice, the USA has to be one of themost difficult countries to organise a cost effective tour. Decent national agents can be counted on one hand and have their hands full. I know Tyan tweeted about the situatiin yesterday, something along the lines of 'I hate having to be my own booking agent in the usa'.
I know I am finding it near impossible to orgainse something!

Understood Martin, because your hot young talent is another I'm looking forward to seeing live one day. Way out here on the West Coast is even harder for you guys because the logistics and expenses are prohibitive.  Sigh...

Re: Ryan McGarvey

A midwest tour is in the works. Ryan has a festival booked for Sept. 15th in Fort Payne, Alabama at the Boom Days Festival   http://boomdays.org/  He said he was trying for some dates around the festival for Ohio, and I am trying to get him booked in St. Louis and Kansas City. As soon as I hear more I will post an update..

J Dawg, yes, there are some riffs that are very Joe, but there is a lot more beyond that! Prove Myself is one of my favorite songs and I think one that sort of helps to define Ryan's style. When Joe was younger he also sounded a lot more like a lot of his influences. There is no denying that Joe has been an influence on Ryan, along with a number of other guitar players.

Recently Ryan and I sat down and had a long talk about the new album, his influences, what's next for him and much more. The results of which can be found here :

Ryan has asked me to let Joe's forum know that if anyone knows of someone or a venue interested in booking Ryan for September, to have the venue contact Ryan at ryan@ryanmcgarvey.com

Thanks!

Honoustly said:
I've got no problems with 2, 3 or 4, 5, 6 REAL deals!!!
The more the merrier!!!

(BTW Going to a Ryan gig or a Joe gig is something COMPLETELY different. Simply because of the different phase they're in at their carreers.)

Sissy: CU soon!
Keith: Thanks for the interview. I really enjoyed reading it!

Re: Ryan McGarvey

Re: Ryan McGarvey

Any updates as to when the new cd will be available on line? Seems to be taking a long time.
