Re: Finished with the Flexturd III by Line sucks

Yeah, I have the G90 rackmount wireless, love it. I also think they make good pedals and effects units. Also have the M9 and its superb. Agree, not a fan of their amps for any type of serious use. Not sure about the newest one they have out with the tweed grill cloth.

So I've struggled with a Flextone III for a month now.  Band practice I tried my blues jr with a pedal at practice and hands down it was better then any sound I've ever had with my band since I joined last month.  Sure am trying really hard to make some money for an Amp that was offered to me.  I've got a few sells going on.  Finally decided the Line 6 Flextone III wasn't going to give me a very good sound.  It just like everyone told me on here great for home but no bottom end, and not one usable clean tone on the freaking amp.  So I'm going for a Fender hot rod deville 212.   I was offered a pretty great deal one on one of these bad boys and I'm hoping the seller is still open to selling it.  My sells end on ebay Sunday.  http://www.ebay.com/sch/arnold224/m.htm … ksid=p3686 So if any body is interested in helping me out on this Deville here is my sellers link.

I hope you don't expect us to start a bidding war for the Flextone. wink

Re: Finished with the Flexturd III by Line sucks

Lucky me it wasn't my amp.  I was trying it out because I need something louder then my Blues jr which it was loud enough to get by, but not that much louder then the jr.  My friend wants 300 for it and I've told him he's out of his mind.  He said its mine for $200, and I told him I didn't have the money for a Flexturd.  Naturally I offered to put it up for sale for him and he wasn't as mad at me.

Re: Finished with the Flexturd III by Line sucks

I dabbled with a Peavey Vypyr + Sanpera pedal for a short while.  Spec looked good.  Turns out the design team were renegades from Line 6 (I was told).  Anyway, it sounded pretty good - live it was totally unreliable due to the most bug ridden software I think I've ever come across.  I only need an amp to play up once on a gig and then it's toast.  To my mind, the simpler the better - any amp with more FX than a verb tank in it is not worth the risk.

Re: Finished with the Flexturd III by Line sucks

Yeah for 12 years thats been my stance and this past month took a chance with it since I wasn't paying any money on it.  Ouch, I got through a gig with it but really it was either too distorted, or too much volume, or not enough volume.  would have been ok with it at the gig but they told me to turn up because you could hear my leads but nothing else was coming through.  After turning up a little, EVERY thing was different and not working well with the rest of the group.

Re: Finished with the Flexturd III by Line sucks

Cant hardly wait!  My sales are ending, I sold a line 6 Spider for a buy it now price that I owned.  Life is looking promising for that new amp I'm hoping to get.  If I don't get the money for an amp I'm going to spring for a speaker for my Blues Jr.  A while back I sold my speaker and never got a replacement for it, so I've made due with a 16 ohm speaker I had in a cab I wasn't using.  Effectively it cuts the amp down in half on its power using 16 ohms instead of the correct 8 ohms.  With the mods to my jr.  I should have 18 watts of power with an 8 ohm speaker.

Re: Finished with the Flexturd III by Line sucks

Well shucks I only sold half my stuff!  I've still got the Flexturd so maybe other people have the same opinion outside of the forum of it.  Oh well time to relist.
