Once again we ask
Our brother funky doctor
Speak to us big guy

I've spoken to George.
or rather by email sent
he kept it quiet.

I asked him for that
that's how my friends hold it down.
J Dawg funked it up. 

Once there was a time
When haikus just tumbled out
Of my finger tips

Of late though my muse
Seems to get stuck in traffic
Misses my exit

I got walloped good
The Arkansas bluesman's death
Took my breath away

Cosmic yin and yang
Returns our funky doctor
To Joeworld's bosom

Back of my mind too
I dropped a quick note to her
Hoping for response

Rags beat the Devils
On a wrap around again
Bring on game seven

Another flim flam
I don't want to deal with them
behind me Satan

my power is love
not a dishonest grovel
the ONLY power

let's try attraction
the light within shines brightly
don't cover it up
