What do you want? some kind of prize? If I lived in Joe's backyard I'd probably seen as many shows too. Wheeeeee!!! I've been to 20 shows just since '05 not to mention 2 I had tix for that JB canceled due to illness. Can I get a runner up award????

I just thought it would be an interesting topic.

Nah!, just pokin' a little fun at ya and green with envy that I missed the real early stuff. Livin' in upstate NY has it's perks.

Yeah, I'm green with envy too. Late start and trying to keep in stride with 18 in 3 1/2 years now with 12 front rows. What an incredible run of shows Michael. cool

I knew the incredible Lynchster was leading the pack, but didn't realize he was zeroing in on a "C" note. Not unlike yourself my attendance levels have dropped off due to the harsher financial times we're in and the rising cost of tickets. I'm still amazed that Joe's talent flew under my radar till '05 and he had been gigging @ many venues in NorCal & Nevada that I frequent. It only stands to reason that the fans with upstate NY roots have been dialed since the beginning.....lucky dogs!

I sat next to Michael at the Brighton show (March 23) and he was wearing his Bonamassa '77 shirt backwards 'cos that was his 77th show to date ... now that was 6 weeks ago so I don't know how many he's done since then ...

I'll never catch Michael ... or most of you ... *sigh*  ... but I'm having a great time!  I've seen Joe solo 3 times in the U.S., twice in the UK, and twice in California with BCC.  Numbers aren't everything!  There's some quality bonabonding attached to those experiences!  big_smile

Thank you for the props Sandy! Even though Cali. IS in the U.S. it's really kind of another world here. Love it or hate it, I call it home and have enjoyed the ride for the past 47 years! NorCal....where the palm tree meets the pine.

That's funny J Dawg ... Cali IS in the US, really??? ;-)  I was separating out the Joe solo shows from the BCC buddy!  I love Cali, both northern and southern and have spent considerable time in both, so definitely no slight intended California Boy!!

P.S.  Thanks, Michael, for coming on and setting the record straight.  I sure enjoyed my Joe experience with you in Brighton! cool

I took it as a compliment, if you've been here that many times you know what I mean.

No problem. Yeah, I feel really lucky to have caught all those early shows. Just that one song in 1989 was enough for me to KNOW that lil' Joey was someone to follow. I kept my eyes open for every time he would play nearby (it's not like Syracuse ever did a good job promoting Joe), & I didn't miss an opportunity to catch a show if I could. To me, he was never a great 12 year old guitarist ~ he was just a great guitarist that happened to be only 12. In other words, it was the quality of his playing that hooked me right away, the age thing was irrelevent. Although I've waited in line to talk to Joe (& get things signed) after every show where he was available afterwards (which was the vast majority of them) I still doubt he even knows who I am. I never wanted to intrude on his life, only help promote his incredible abilty to everyone who would listen to me. I even got signed copies of Joe's first 3 solo CDs into Joe Satriani's hands (through a close friend of Satch's) back whwn the CDs first came out. Don't know if that had any affect on helping get him recognized, but I hope it did. STILL hoping for an eventual G3 tour with JoeB on-board. Better yet, a co-headlining tour with Black Country Communion and Chickenfoot. Talk about the tour of the century.
