Topic: Fake Gibson
OK, I'm going to post this but I'm not saying I agree with it. I found this website and looked into it and it seems real. I found it by mistake. I was looking up GFS pickup demos on Youtube and I found this video.

I thought whow these guys must like their GFS pickups, then I realized they were playing fake China made Gibsons. So thats when I read the comments and someone said to buy these guitar go to this website or something like that. http://www.dhgate.com/
These guys are selling the site as Whole Sale products made in China cutting out the middle man. They operate kind of like Ebay. Seller can use the site to sell their products on there and they are the ones responable for sending items such as guitar but not limited to just guitar.
I looked into it deeper and I will say that guitar or products that are not name brand are real legitamet items, but if your looking at a $3000 gibson and find the guitar on here for less then $300 you need to know its not real. Some guys will openly say its a copy others don't. If you decide to buy one don't try to sell it here in america because they are highly illigal and your going to go to jail. If you buy one and have it your fine police will not come after you. These items are lower quality but a lot of these guitar are pretty nice. Not as nice as a Custom Shop like they are copping but Much better then a Epiphone that would cost more.
What I think is cool is the guitars can perform and with some mods could sound as good as a real Gibson. What I don't think is cool is they say Gibson on the head stock and from 10 to 20 feet I doubt you could tell a difference. Last what really pisses me off is it clearly is stamped Made In the USA! Yet I'm not going to lie to you I'm considering buying one. I do project guitar all the time and as long as I am not trying to sell this to make a profit I'm fine with owning one. I've owned Made in China guitar before so no big deal. I just hate that they are using the name brand and the made in america stamping. I wish they had named it something else and just kept the head stock shape.

Reviews are positive. With a little bit of work you can have a great playing guitar that sounds fantastic if you replace a few things and can live with selling out to China. BTW most of us if not all of us already have and didn't even know it.
