I know Roger and he was close to Jimmi, he is the real deal. Youll often see him at Feenstras venues in London. The article is exactly how Roger would explain things and you would walk away bemused. Borderline genius type. Nice guy but hard to interpret. Surprised folks have not heard of him, he is a legendary pedal maker. Shame he does not translate well. Not his fault.

I know of his work and his pedals he built for Jimi, but all I'd consider good advice from him is mods to pedals not what guitar strings I should be using.

Lot's of people have heard of him. He developed the Fuzz-Face did he not (among others)? He actually is a bona-fide legend. He was making stuff when all that Hendrix/Cream stuff was going down. His handiwork is heard all over the classic albums of the day. If anyone still living would have first hand insight into Jimi's tone, it would be him.

His comments about the red and blue lights is obviously a troll, however his comments about pickups are sort of true. The more gain, or more junk you put your signal through, the less difference the pickup makes. And we all know Jimi loved his effects and his gain. As for the strings? Meh, I've seen wierder things actually work. Who knows, maybe Jimi believed it worked and played better as a result.
