Re: The Football Topic
Sadly Mike, we'll have to just differ on Harry. Do be aware that you are one of a very small minority among thinking Hammers. Of all the people I know personally, and all the views I read on various forums and blogs, there are maybe two out of 100+ who 'support' Harry. No more ranting from me, you all know my opinion.
Of course, Harry will take the England job that 'public opinion', formed by the gutter press and Sky, now demands should be his. He has done a decent job at Spurs, even if he gets the credit for the tactical nous of his assistants, because Harry has none himself.
I totally agree that it's shocking and shameful for the FA to be throwing millions at paying off and buying off manager's contracts, when the money could be put to so much better use. Everyone knows that they've said they want an English manager next and, as incredible as it may seem, there really is no other credible English manager in the race. It's a foregone conclusion.
In view of Spur's current position, and in view of the players at the club, some 'big name' foreign manager may well be interested when Harry leaves.
