All great comments here. Kathy B. from Missouri one time said something like... discovering Joe is like a shot of adrenaline to a baby boomer. It stayed with me as an excellent description of Joe.
Cathy,
You have a point...mentioning the influences and seeing them perform together, has more of an impact. Bonnie has always been great about embracing others, inviting them to record or tour and has turned me on to a few in the blues, most recently Keb'Mo'. I've mentioned before you starting posting, how I would like to see Bonnie and Joe share the stage someday...
A fan on the Clapton site just mentioned that today is the anniversary of John Lee Hooker's passing. I have to admit, I didn't know for a really long time of singing George Thoroughgood's One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer that John wrote it!! I heard the book about Hooker, "Boogie Man" is excellent. If you never saw the youTube of Bonnie and John Lee, In The Mood, check it out.
