Re: Carre, Amsterdam, Oct. 5/6/7, 2011

Sorry, my review has to wait until weekend, pretty busy at the moment.

And if I'm not too wrong it must me Bibi yelling YEAH .... YEAH ... YEAH to steam up the train.
I had a perfect seat in the middle of row 4 but I definitely missed rocking chairs with Bibi.

Euhm.. yeah that was me indeed!
This year I was rocking chairs with Harald, Leif (and parents) and friends of André who sat beside me. Next year we'll ask chairs next to each other (if possible). CU at Ryan McGarvey!!!

Re: Carre, Amsterdam, Oct. 5/6/7, 2011

One week ago the weather wasn't shining like today ... but my soul was .

What was so special?
The forum meeting before the show.
The forum meeting after the show.
Amazing, to meet people you don't know that well. But we were chatting as if we knew for ages. Great experience. lol
My first class seat. (Thank you so much, George and there's nothing to excuse. I had such a fantastic view from where I sat and it was great to see some of you in front of me rocking your chairs and nodding your heads just like me.)

Ohh, nearly forgot something: the concert of Joe Bonamassa & Band lol.
It was great (as always).
A number of mindblowing songs.
Tal brought in positive vibrations and a new spirit. He's not only a master on drums but a master in communicating.

If there's one thing on the negative side: The band really rocked lol. It was soooo hard sitting on a chair. Still don't like seated venues, no matter how beautiful they are. Especially enjoyed the last song

2 days ago I was banned, now the technique decides where my story ends :-(

... where nobody was sitting on a chair anymore and everybody rocked along with the band.

Hi Caroline, and welcome! It's always a great pleasure when someone who says they will sign up to the forum actually does so.  wink

Looking forward to more posts from you!

I am new to this Forum as well and I noticed you have been for a while so here is my question...Does Joe usually mix up the setlist for different shows or countries or however he does it? should i expect the same setlist from the first couple of shows? Also I am attending the november 22, 2011 show in West Palm Beach Florida and I was wondering if my seat which is on the ground level and about half way back would be ok or great? any advice ?

Thanks,
       Matt

Re: Carre, Amsterdam, Oct. 5/6/7, 2011

Welcome to the forum Matt. In the past, Joe has pretty much stuck to the set list from show to show. I've heard consecutive shows with the same list and never got tired of it. He always has variations in play on several songs. This tour he has added some songs to the pool so the consecutive shows near each other will have some variation. There will be the tried and true favorites with a few alternates mixed in. (I think that was the plan) As to the show in Florida, I will let one of our Fla. folk give you the dope on the seats. I'd think mid floor would be good listening territory with a fair view as well.

It was a great run of shows. I hope the new venue is as successful. I don't care for the acoustics at the H Hall, but I'm sure Joe & Co will tweak it to fit their standards. Thanks for bringing back the memories. wink  Cathy
