7 Things I think about tonight's show:
Glenn Hughes is a true rock star. High energy, highly animated, theatrical, professional guy who's fun to watch on stage. A real showman. I like him more after seeing this show.
The band was really tight and sounded awesome but Glenn's vocals were kinda loud especially early on.
BCC has an unmistakeable character, look and sound like nothing else out there today. I think this show blows away Satch, Hagar and Chickenfoot. The only thing close musically and talent wise that I can compare it to.
I really hope that John Henry version finds it's way to my music collection sometime soon. It was the highlight of the show for me along with Song of Yesterday and Man in the Middle. Ok and I gotta add Save Me.
It's really great to see Joe enjoying this success. It makes me feel good to see a show like this after seeing Joe at Fletchers in Baltimore just a few years ago on a tuesday with like 50 people there.
Great to see the MD/PA crowd tonight. Vicky, Jane, Carl, and others. Great crowd.
OK, and my only negative on BCC. I think Joe's solos are sounding like he's playing the same solo and every song. Don't hate me, I'm just being honest. I actually like Joes slower solos like the notes have more meaning or maybe when he mixes it up a bit. Still love him though.
Gotta go to bed now, long day. See ya....Don
A great show last evening at the 9:30 Club. BCC totally kicked a**. It was a great way to spend Father's Day with my son. Glenn, Derek, Jason and Joe put on a fabulous show. Can't wait to see them (and Joe) again.
Set list included,
1. Black Country
2. One Last Soul
3. Crossfire
4. Save Me
5. Hadrian's Wall
6. Beggar Man
7. Faithless
8. Song of Yesterday
9. The Outsider
10. Cold
11. John Henry (a charged up version that turned into a jam - complete with theremin - very cool)
12. Spirit
13. Sista Jane
bonus tunes
14. The Man in the Middle
15. Burn (Joe brought out the V so you knew something special was coming)
Again, a fabulous show. Link below has a few pics.

Nice pics!!! Sounds like everybody had fun. In fact, has there been a Jane sighting today? Did she say "S*@w it" and follow the bus? I'll wait for stories Thanks, Cathy

Great show! The guys rocked the house!! Great to see David and Jane. I will agree with Don, Glenn's vocal were way too loud at times. No hate on the solo comment, I had similar observations, but again love Joe and can't wait to see him again! Jason was AWESOME, so glad I finally got to see him.
I brought my camera, but from the floor it was tough to get some decent shots, along w/ the fog machine. Here are some of the shots I got.

Hi Jim, great seeing you again as well!!! Fantastic pictures too... What a show, more later...
Well, I wasn't at this particular show, but I gotta' say that I didn't hear Joe doing the same thing over and over. I was at the St. Louis BCC show and I thought Joe's playing was brilliant & refreshing. Maybe I don't have "the ear" that the rest of you have, but I just don't believe in my heart of Joe-hearts that he is repetitious......call me a Joe-nerd, whatever, the man, someone I am so very proud to call my friend is the greatest. And Glenn's vocals were just fine, maybe we had a better mix, I don't know.
I stand by my guitar man.

P.S. In no way am I saying you don't have a right to your opinion, I am just stating mine.
Given Jane's lone and cursive post, she stowed away in Derek's Korg case.
Great reviews all. Here in the first show, no repetitive Joe, just unreal riffage with a bit of shreddage and a good dose of styling on the Theramin. Glenn's voice was superb so I don't get it. Hey folks, this is HARD ROCK! Yaknow, head banging and such. Like.............L O U D!!!

nah Rick.....
anyway awesome show - will write more later
Yeah, Nah, I unnerstand. Yeah Nah. Yeah, take your time...The King's Speech, everyone in their underwear...
ROCK ON, SAVE ME, & Keep the Faith,

Was at this one and Sayreville. I will be posting reviews.
All I can say is man oh man that was amazing in every way!!
Was expecting a lot and the boys far exceeded all expectations!!
Here is a video I took of most of John Henry from the balcony. Awesome show, and my first chance to see JB.
Glenn Hughes is a bit too shrill for my tastes. I agree that his vocals were too loud. I was in the balcony, and my left ear was not happy when he sang. When Joe sang, it wasn't a problem. I prefer his style, anyway.
Sometimes I think at these club shows they go for quantity over quality when it comes to sound. I've sat in the first few rows of several Trans Siberian Orchestra concerts and never thought about needing earplugs. The clarity of sound is much better.
I really enjoyed Bonham's playing and enthusiasm. He was encouraging the crowd quite a bit and seemed to be having a great time.
This might not be the thread to ask, but what does one have to do to get a pre-sale code for JB solo shows?
The sound was stellar at both shows this weekend including this one.
Glenn is a very powerful vocallist and he cuts through the mix easily. If you wanted him to be burried in the mix so you couldn't hear him then I get your beef here. Not that I understand it! My point is that the sound was inpecable.
This is rock music. It's supposed to be loud. By most standards this was NOT a very loud concert.
As with Joe's shows the sound was just loud enough that it didn't get all distorted as it does with so many bands.
You are the first one to have a negative thing to say about Glenn after seeing this show. Most I met up with were completely blown away.
Lets all just chill-ax. I don't think there is any beef here. I know we all get a little sensitive when anything remotely "negative" is said about ANYTHING related to Joe. I think everyone enjoyed the show, it was a GREAT show, exceeded all expectations, worth every penny, can't wait to see them again, etc, etc. This is not TGP. People are just expressing their opinions, comments, feelings, or whatever about this particular show from their particular vantage point. No one is attacking Glenn or Joe or BCC, just stating some of their observations from their POV. From the balcony, too me and others, Glenn was a little too loud in the mix. Is it the end of the world? No. Did the band rock? Hell yea!! No one is saying Glenn sang poorly (though his singing is not everyone's cup of tea as some have expressed and that is fine). This is probably just how the 9:30 club goes (as this is my second show there where there were some sound "issues", again subjective). On the floor and other areas, the sound was probably better and I'm glad for that and glad that other venues have had stellar sound. Of all the Joe shows I've been too, never needed a plug, never thought negatively about the sound, I always tell people how GREAT the sound is, no ringing ears, just great memories. And Sunday was another great memory! Back to happy thoughts about my next Joe experience.
