Edited to add, there is a piece up there with colors coordinated for a Steelers fan!  I think on behalf of the Packer fans, Elisa should make some pieces for them too...

I just received my necklace last week that I ordered - it is from Joe's Gigliotti.  I love that guitar, and it was one that Joe played the first time I saw him live.  That plus the reason we are buying these from SFAC makes it so very special. 

Joe needs to make another string donation - I bet Elisa is running short on his!

I was scheduled to work the James Taylor show @ Des Moines Civic Center on 03/06 and had to bow out because I will be seeing Joe in Davenport,IA that night.  BUT  I just had a great conversation with the stage manager and he is going to go to bat for me on getting strings from James Taylor.  Angela, I never received any mailers???  I hope this happens.  Fingers crossed.

Joe broke a string at the Dallas show and I immediately thought that I should get it for Strings for a Cure.

But when I met him after the show...the gerbils in my head were not running at full speed and I forgot!

So sorry.

I do see Jim Suhler and Jason Elmore quite a bit so I will try and see if they are interested in donating.

Patty, they went out in the mail this morning after I remembered yesterday I never sent them.  I am so very sorry for the delay, the month of February evaporated into thin air, I'm not sure where the time went....   If they don't get there in time, the next easiest thing to do is: have your contact person download this form from the website, it has the mailing address on the bottom, if they don't remove the strings at the show.  If the guitar tech removes the strings at the show, the stage manager can hold onto them until you see him. Let me know when you get the mailers. And a big THANK YOU to you and the stage manager.

I must tell you, we have some very good news about some future donated strings...

When I saw Walter Trout on Sunday March 20th, I ended up with some private time with him after almost everyone had left Shank Hall in Milwaukee. I brought up the subject of ""StringsforaCURE" to him and his response was, "Roy, I'm way ahead of you! My guitar tech has been saving the strings for a while now and we plan to send them in soon." Walter wasn't sure who approached his guitar tech, but I thanked him nonetheless. Thanks also goes out to whoever got Walter's tech interested in this great charity!!

Also, I had the pleasure of witnessing a fantastic performance by Joanne Shaw Taylor and her Band this past Saturday night. After her set, I spoke with Joanne about donating to "StringsforaCURE" and gave her a couple of business cards and some artist release forms. She definitely said that she would be sending in some of her strings!
