The CEO, if that's what the guy is in the video, reminds me of the sports psychologist in the movie "The Natural" with Robert Redford. "Losing is a plague.....Losing is a disease......"

Just another overpriced guitar, but they all are IMO if over a grand, heck usually 500. Homes are still coming down yet cars and guitars go up....what's that tell you?

Theres a demo if the guitar. I think its worthless. I'd get a James Tyler Variax way before i'd get this. The overdrives on this guitar sound horrible. I dont know what these guys are thinking.
I agree that they need to get back to the basics and make quality guitars that people can afford. Let us worry about the effects.

Here's one thing gibson did right.
there was about 3 or four good sounds in there... more than a normal guitar. Bad part is all the stuff you'll never use is dead weight/features. 
That reminds me of that failed stratocaster that had the roland processor built inside it. I think it was the VG and it could do all the different guitars humbuckers tele's 12 strings acoustics and alternate tunings that were weird. I think it bombed too.

Joe won't comment negatively on any Gibson products, because of his relationship
with Gibson. So don't look for any negative comments to come from him.

I'd try one...and give it a go...but truth be known...I don't like all the
"technology" in guitars these days....Even amps are getting too complex...
Gimme a LP or Strat and a good Class A Tube amp, and then just get outta my way....

Ugly, prone to break, and I don't see the market. The robot Les Paul/SG at least put interesting tech into a solid guitar in a way that was... unobtrusive (is that a word?). This is just weird. Gibson needs to get the basics down and fix their reputation. I absolutely love my Les Paul (Traditional), don't get me wrong, but Gibson does have QC issues. They're not losing market share because they don't have enough gimmicky stuff. And I'm one of the few oddballs who thought the Dusk Tiger was kind of cool.

I just wish this whole "re-invent" the Firebird business would disappear..
first time I have seen this, - that video is awful, - (again) it may be my English sensibility but what an awful launch, - the guy really think he is Steve Jobs and he even talks about the industry copying!!! Sorry but things need a shake up at Gibson. They launched some awful maple SG's this last year completely missing the point on why people buy Gibson. They have been opened up with better guitars albeit copies at better prices and better function. They need a bit of consolidation and focus PDQ!

Entirely against the concept. If for nothing else because people should be able tune their own damn guitar!
