Topic: Great Amp

I saw this a couple months ago, and there was a topic about it, but I thought, for those who didn't know; I share it here! This is NOT a tube-amp, but it has the same dymanic range and soundings of one. check it out.

Re: Great Amp

I remember seeing this a few weeks ago...looks pretty promising. Although, for the price I would rather just get an Egnator tube amp or Ceriatone. $1K is quite a lot for solid state.

Re: Great Amp

I like the idea of not having to buy tubes ever again, but then again it's nice getting different tubes to change tones.

again lots of money for solid state... and does it have tube balls? that's always hard to tell in a recording.
I have a Flextone II XL amp if I want a good sounding solid state amp with not a lot of balls.

Nic, Lance is the kind of guy that will not settle for anything without at least 6 pairs of raging balls.  He stands behind the design and tone and he would not do otherwise unless he fully believed in it. I Texas-vouche for Lance's opinion! I am saving up for one for sure.
Also, is it really har to believe that an amp like this could be built?    After all, the vast majority of our favorite overdrive units are SS, and a good chunk of them full analog!  I am just mad at Crate for never taking the time to come up with a decent SS circuit.

I think the price being under 1000 is justified, considering it is a small builder.
