Since We've Ended As Lovers
I've got one more silver dollar...
Ride On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
yawn
Rocket wrote:And it stoned me
I’ve got one more silver dollar
Like a bridge over troubled water
Who can it be now?
I heard it through the grapevine
I’m going home to my baby
Don’t fear the reaper
Don’t stand so close to me
Jah provides the bread
She used to be my gril (censor?)
My baby’s got a secret agent
She works hard for the money
Pretty woman, walking down the street
Baby, I’m-a-want-you
Whatever happened to the teenage dream?
I’m a fool for the city
If only you believe in miracles
Well, hello Mary Lou, goodbye heart
Going down the road feeling bad
Something in the way she moves
I wanna hear some funky Dixieland
Signed, sealed, delivered, I’m yours
Love is a battlefield
Don’t worry, be happy
It’s a small world after all
We’re flirtin’ with disaster
Your love is lifting me higher
Bring me a higher love
You’re a rich #@$@#
Keep away from runaround Sue
You send me
Got to be true to myself
Old man river, just keeps flowing
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine
I’m not in love
Big s don’t cry
I’m too hot to handle
I only wanna be with you
Tangled up in blue
Goin’ up the country
Go get yourself some cheap sunglasses
I feel good
Four in Ohio
You gotta serve somebody
Hot fun in the summertime
Make my heart come all undone
You got another thing coming
Bye bye love, hello loneliness
Better talk to the lawyer
76 trombones in the big parade
I did it my way
Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles…Dance!
Every junky’s like a setting sun
Let the good times roll
You don’t spit into the wind
Instant Karma’s gonna get you
It’s a rainy night in Georgia
Sailing takes me away
It’s another tequila sunrise…
ooooooh....
yawn

Hmmm Looks like I'm in a rut.... And looks like it's time for another one that long... Lookout, hey a Monkees tune popped into mind...
Lookout, here comes tomorrow!
Rock On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Hope these weren't already posted. I know I really should read them all first, but I found this intriguing and I'm too tired to read them all tonight. Great thread...
Better love her with a feeling (or don't you love her at all)
I can't make you love me
Let's get it on
Wish you were here
She's a brick house
Oh... one more! Can I cheat, just a bit? It's more than 6 words, but it's one of my favorite lyrics.
A whisper on a scream doesn't change a thing
"I've hungered for your touch," I was young and heard this...then I say this geeky dressed guy come out & reduce the entire place to jelly; full on live.

RIP Bobby
How 'bout this new Mercedes Benz? Thanks a lot man, I'll play it all day long!
Cash you wanna wanna, cash you wanna!
BAH!
I saw Neil & the Shocking Pinks in July 1983, when they first performed what was basically an extended encore to Neils "regular set, which was the Trans tour, so much for "regular"! The sound mix was superb for the Shocking Pinks portion, not that it was bad for the preceding balance of the performance, it's just that this had a 1950's sonic quality to it.
A great and endearing evening!
Shock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Has Zappa already been done? How about:
Dinah Moe Humm
Titties & Beer
Stink Foot
Dirty Love
and to top off my list, the song that's been stuck in my head all day, and is recognizable even without lyrics....
Watermelon in Easter Hay
You shook me all night long!!

A Week In Pictures..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-11466215
Anyone have any good 4 word lyrics or 6 word lyrics that kinda' stand on their own?
Help me out...what song is that from and how does it stand on it's own?
For me to enlist an example and stick to the topic:
Saturday night's alright for fighting
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
It's gonna take a lotta love
Not taking shortcuts (9 words without contractions!), Neil Young wrote it that way...
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket

LOL! It's ok, I thought so. But I am always poem to learning something new...and I could go back on a bunch of these entries and say I don't get it, enlighten me...I just may. Thanks Brack, no worries, hey I'll use a Stevie Wonder lyric:
Don't you worry about a thing
Rock On & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Why Jane, far from headbanging stuff.
This is what I call smoke without fire... Has anyone listened to these lyrics???
