He has landed on american soil with one mission....To amaze us with his skills....the best Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter there is on the planet. Have I gone too far?.... I think Not. The 2 hour 10 minute set boasted 19 songs that left the audience breathless and speechless.
The set list:

Happier Times
Three Times a Fool
Great Flood
Blue and Evil
Mountain Time
Woke up Dreaming
Young Man Blues
Encore:
Bird on a Wire
Just Got Paid
The highlights of the show for me "Sloe Gin" in which the opening solo brought grown men (and women) to tears. "Blue and Evil" and the Who's "Young Man Blues" both rocked with fire and passion....and "Woke up Dreaming" was longer and crazier than ever...."WOW" was the operative word. The 600 or so gathered at The McDonald Theatre in Eugene experienced Joe at his finest...the band was spot on despite Carmine sporting an eye patch due to recent surgery...Joe Joked "He's got the GOOD drugs" We were also lucky enough to get to see Joe at the meet and greet prior to the show after watching the sound check on a remote monitor..he was gracious and relaxed and generally a really nice guy. There were only 9 of us so it was intimate, informal and unrushed. Wow, 1st show of the US tour, first row seats, and a meet and greet. Talk about the perfect Joe Bonamassa storm. We are gluttons for punishment so we are heading to Portland tomorrow for show #2 then on to Bend on the 7th and Medford on the 9th....We shall report back all that is Bonamassa.
