Topic: Joe, Please help with my amp search!
Hey guys (and Joe hopefully),
I have been searching and searching for a new amp for the last year now. I have played Mesas' (Lonestar Classic, Stilleto) and HK's (Triamp, Statesman) and Fenders' (Supersonic, tweed twins) and Marshalls (DSL, VM, JVM) and some Bogners and more that I can't remember lol.
I've played them and played them but none of them "sang" to me. I wanted an amp that would deliver the tones of a late 60's plexi, ala Clapton/Page/Kossoff, to the 70's JMP's and into the 80's hot rodded 800s'. Obviously the Marshalls' I tested came the closest, but they were still missing "it". We all want Joes' tone but I don't wanna copy what everyone else does to try to get his tone. The stuff I play is mostly early clapton (Bluesbreakers, Cream, D&TD), Led Zepplin, Free, AC/DC, Gary Moore, Robin Trower, Rory G, Eric Johnson, Dokken, GNR, and Joe obviously... the list could go on and on but you get the picture. 60's blues/rock and 70's/80's Blues/Rock and Hard Rock
Here are the amps that I have been looking at now and was wondering everyones opinion on them, since I have no way of playing any of them(maybe Joe could chime in). They all sound amazing...

Soultone 1986ps
Soultone 2204ps SuperPlexi
Voodoo Amps V-Plex http://www.voodooamps.com/home/Products … fault.aspx
I am really leaning toward the Reinhardt Storm or the Voodoo V-Plex but all of them sound absolutely awesome even through crappy youtube clips and other recording i have heard of them. I always have an eye out for a Jubilee. My problem has always been that I need the amps to be able to sound well in all kinds of volume situations (home practice, jamming, gig). Maybe I just need to get a Jubilee and a hot plate....
