2. Derek Trucks Band at House of Blues - Boston (Susan was there, too. Special night for some other reasons, too)
3. Govt Mule at Hampton Beach, NH (32/20 Blues)
4. Joe Northampton, MA (first show of the tour leading up to RAH - Johnny A appearance)
5. Aynsley Lister at Dingwall's (what a night!)
6. Hot August Blues (and not just for the music)
7  BDS at Higher Ground, Burlington, VT in November- finally the mandolin!
8. Joe Woonsocket, RI (front row and a white suit - photographer's dream)
9. Derek Trucks at Boarding House Park, Lowell (best version of Down in the Flood I have ever heard)
10. Joe Lebanon, NH (7 hours round trip in the car but worth it)
11. Back Door Slam in Vermont in July

I cannot remember a year EVER when I went to so many shows - it's been a blast!  Gonna be a tough act to follow, but I'm willing to try!

Favourite 5 Shows of the year:

1. Gong/Steve Hillage - Leadmill Sheffield (Sorry Joe, but I'd been waiting a lot longer to see Gong and teh sublime Mr H)
2. Joe B - Sheffield City Hall (Gosh this man's Good!)
3. Metallica - Sheffield Arena ( ROCK! \m/ a welcome return to form)
4. Hawkwind - Buxton Opera House (Incongruous surroundings for my first 'Wind gig in 25 years, but it was Cosmic man!)
5. King's X - Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton (Another first for me, have I been living under a Rock?)

And a quick bubbling under to Oli Brown (The Boardwalk, Sheffield)

Oh boy, I thought 2009 was a good year for me for live music, but you guys put me to shame. I only saw 4 live performances, although 4 awesome performances I have to say.

Joint 1st tongue) AC/DC - Dublin & Joe - RAH  (i think I have to put AC/DC joint 1st as it had been on my dream list since i was about 12)

3) Jeff Beck - Ulster Hall Belfast
4) Joe - Waterfront Belfast

3 awesome artists in one year, I was pretty happy big_smile. Really hard to assign an order, it would probably change depending on which day you asked me big_smile

Oh wow forgot one that just came to mind.
Robin Henkel & Nathan James and on the same bill David Lindley.  All performers seated.  An incredible night of live (almost exclusively) acoustic music.
