How much should sell a new one?
Mine was technically used but it had factory strings and all the case candy was in tact including the pickup selector knob and picks were in their plastic wrapping.
I thought $3200 was alot....until I played it. Mine is a heavy relic which is the only way I would buy this thing. The spanky new ones are too pristine.
There's one on TGP right now for $3,200.00 which might be the same one on Ebay. Funny, last week or two there were none of these guitars listed anywhere, Ebay, music stores..NONE.
I bought this thing to play not to collect so....The neck is huge which I Love. The poly saddles are **## though but you can judge that for yourself. If you can, play a Large neck '59 to see if you like it.
Anyway- I'm with Stratovari- offer whatever you want. $3,800 is a bit too much. Offer $3,200.00 and see what happens. Still, if you really want it, Pay for it. That's the way I see it.
Either way- it's an insane guitar. I think there are better pickups than the BBII and BBIIIs as they are waaay powerful but for you die hard JB fans this thing rips. I like Joe a ton but he plays with a bit more gain than I tend to dig on. Some Sakashtas or Godwoods will do the trick.
Best of luck
