In my case it wasn't neccessarily a guitar that I regret selling, but a guitar I should have bought. I remember walking into a Sam Ash when I was about 16-17 and seeing a rusty, dusty, beat to pieces Clapton Strat with the gold Lace Sensor pickups. That guitar has some of the nastiest strings ever but it played like a dream. It also sounded very very good. They were asking something like $800 for it. I was a poor kid in high school who didn't know any better...why couldn't I have come across that guitar now?
