Topic: RIP Les Paul

Just heard a report that Les Paul has passed on. That kind of puts a damper on this weekend. Maybe Joe can dedicate a song or two?

Amen to that, what a run he had though? Wouldn't we all be happy to keep doing what we love into our 90's?

RIP one fine man....

That is very sad news indeed. What a wonderful man he was....such an innovator and genuinely nice guy.

Re: RIP Les Paul

A great loss to the recording industry. Good-bye Lester and thanks for all you've done over the years.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

Re: RIP Les Paul

I wish I would have been able to see him in concert.... or at least shake his hand.

Sad to see him go, but so glad that he had as good a run as he did.

Re: RIP Les Paul

I posted this at the LPF as well...his death is going to blossom in several ways, some better than others. I'm imagining in the next couple months magazine covers, tribute albums and songs, and knowing Gibson, probably a Les Paul Les Paul.

The reaction is going to be big, biggest we've seen in the guitar world, trumped by only B.B. I'd imagine.
