Topic: RIP Les Paul
Just heard a report that Les Paul has passed on. That kind of puts a damper on this weekend. Maybe Joe can dedicate a song or two?

Amen to that, what a run he had though? Wouldn't we all be happy to keep doing what we love into our 90's?
RIP one fine man....
That is very sad news indeed. What a wonderful man he was....such an innovator and genuinely nice guy.
May he rest in peace

The end of civilisation as we know it RIP GENIUS
Strange I posted this about an hour ago but was told post not accepted, maybe the news had to be verified?
Sorry to hear about his passing. He was truely a giant in the music industry. I own a Les Paul and wouldn't trade it for anything but another Les Paul.
R.I.P. Mr. Les Paul.
One of the greatest pioneer's in the music industry ever, what an inspirational and creative spirit he brought to the music world, Rock and nearly every form of music owes a huge debt to the genius and legend that man was

RIP Mr Les Paul indeed, a true innovator has passed, but his legacy will always live on...
A great loss to the recording industry. Good-bye Lester and thanks for all you've done over the years.
I wish I would have been able to see him in concert.... or at least shake his hand.
Sad to see him go, but so glad that he had as good a run as he did.
THANK YOU LES PAUL!!!!!!!
If it weren't for you who knows what music would be today.
Rest in Peace
I don't play guitar but what a joy they brought and still bring ( JOE) into my life.
Les Paul was the person who started it all for me.
RIP Paul.
Thanks for that joy, I will never forget you because through Joe and all the others, your name lives on forever and ever and............

I posted this at the LPF as well...his death is going to blossom in several ways, some better than others. I'm imagining in the next couple months magazine covers, tribute albums and songs, and knowing Gibson, probably a Les Paul Les Paul.
The reaction is going to be big, biggest we've seen in the guitar world, trumped by only B.B. I'd imagine.
His name will live forever - now how many can we say that about!
R.I.P. Les Paul. Thank you for your contributions to music as we know it.
Spent the day working in the yard and just heard the news. The innovator of the electric guitar and a native of where I live. R.I.P. Les, You Are The Man!!
Les' real name was Lester William Polsfuss. What a great man.
