Topic: Roger McGuinn
I read this post on the Clapton forum from a Chicago fan. I don't know if there are any Roger McGuinn/Byrd fans on here, but if you are into acoustics, check out the Martin youTube and I also favor the Rickenbacker sound.
"Hey ... What's Roger McGuinn doing these days? Well ... I found out last night. He's touring as a solo act with a highly entertaining show that combines music and storytelling to trace his musical evolution. It's a great story of a folk singer turned folk-rocker due to the influence of "the Beatle beat".
If you're looking for "a more intimate evening of music" with a rock icon, you'd be hard pressed to find one more intimate than this. Great music, great stories, small venues, tickets from $10 to $30. The first 3 links below are spot-on representations of the show (except for the radio guy in #3). I've also included his websites for tour dates (U.S. & U.K.) and Bio, plus a link to his Folk Den project designed to propagate traditional folk music. The video with EC is included just for fun.
