Joe's already played Pine Knob....(you're "aging" yourself, sozo! Hasn't it been DTE, or something like that, for some time now?) I saw Joe there late last summer, opening for BB King. He only had about 25 minutes, though, and played to a pretty empty pavilion. Only we cheapos on the lawn were already there, and only some of us were up and screaming and cheering loudly! Which reminds me, I really think they should let the earlybirds who want to see the opening acts head into the pavilion's front row seats! They could hold my I.D., my purse, my first-born child...something that I'd want to reclaim once the openers were done and the real ticketholders finally showed up for the main act.
I"m looking forward to the day when Joe IS the main attraction at a venue like Pine Knob! Of course, the meet and greet line afterward would be hell! : )
I grew up in Warren, then lived in Rochester Hills before moving to IN. My friend and I got season tickets to Pine Knob every summer once we were old enough to drive! Oh, those good ol' days!!
Great musicians have a language & vocabulary that transcends the usual barriers & touches us on a more primitive , basic & yet complex level....
