Plus, the sound wasn't so great, so maybe one of those reasons may be why he hasn't gone back there? Which is fine with me, to get a decent seat there, you have to have reservations for dinner and a show- well, their food isn't that great, and the service is slooooooowwww.
The first time I saw Joe at Chord on Blues, we made dinner reservations early so we'd have choice seats (they advertise that making dinner reservations ensures you those seats for the show). About 10 minutes before Joe comes on, people start milling around the stage and when the show starts there's about 40 or 50 people (most of who came late and didn't have dinner) lining the front of the stage.
Totally blocked the view, unless you stood up...Joe was great, but it really sucked not being able to see. The next couple of shows I just showed up an hour or so before the show, paid the cover and stood up front, which was great.
Just a warning if Joe plays there again...dinner reservations don't get you anything special, except dinner!
