Re: Hammersmith Apollo March 2015
for goodness sakes Rocket, those are darn near fighting words where I come from.
you can ignore the thread you know.
i know your intentions are good but this is one of those things IMHO where folks are giving their opinion and feedback which is not necessarily favorable but is for the most part. complaining about the comments or that folks don't see eye to eye with you gives some a feeling that the replies make their own testimony seem more negative than it is.
its completely reasonable, in fact usually adviseable, to know what you are plunking money down for before putting it down. since tickets are on sale and early is how to get the best ones than it is a good time to say if there is something more. not necessary mind you but given the vibe about the gig....anyway please let forum folks new or old have a safe place to put their reasonable comments without threat
Put up a video from a Godfather movie and that is a threat? I'm just tired of hearing what amounts to, in my opinion and as my perception, to a bunch of whining. That's MY feedback and it NOT a threat. I invite invectiveness towards myself when I feel I have an observation of it being lobbed too close for comfort. And taking the piss out amongst other "safe" and reasonable comments doesn't necessarily seem like a bunch of kind comments to me. So, call me paranoid, easily offended, or worse. Let freedom sting! Some people are too sensitive. When I say that, I suppose it will at some point apply back at me personally. Maybe now. So be it if so.
SO THERE! or just be mad at me
I am no more self-righteous than some of these commentaries...
Ignore the thread? I can be ignored just as easy.
Alienation can go both ways.
The fact remains no one excepting those involved or close to the negotiations, decisions, and final planning know what the future holds. It is called speculation. Gambling. Many have opted out. I want to stay opted in. What some talking heads here say may have an effect on MY possibility to attend in England once again. I am not stirring the pot just for fun. I'd settle for a free show by Joe Bonamassa any day. Historically, he doesn't perform for free. Like I said, maybe I am paranoid. Or maybe I am not...a bunch or irrelevance to me.
And I personally and humbly believe, with no desire let alone need for agreement or counterclaim, J & R Adventures doesn't need to justify anything. The Rolling Stones & Paul McCartney's of British fame (fair examples, especially given they are retreading the tired and true, whereas even if one wishes to accuse that Joe B just may be retreading the blues, the blues players, and Joe IS a Bluesman, are always treading deep waters, which begs to ask what would YOU do to survive if you cannot even swim?) sure don't have to justify any of their fee price structuring when they invade America, so why should Joe Bonamassa?! On his own forum? Just because he is wildly popular in England???!!! Just because of the Independence???!!! Supply vs. demand always rules, and as far as pricing here in the US of A for Joe Bonamassa, I will put up or shut up, literally. And me shutting up means I would hide the pain away by expressing regret-I have a history of it for goodness sake. Established forum members know it. Those not so established, now do. I dig Joe's playing and entertaining so much I should ask for a rack on the roof of the bus or a job traveling with him to reach my desired attendance satisfaction level. If this is all about the best seats pricing, here and NOW (which means others later WILL be lower), and everyone wants the best for less, I'll go on record saying I'll settle for LESS for the BEST! Maybe that goes over some heads...Man, if I smoked I'd I'd maybe have to go buy a pipe to put that in and smoke it in for my own genuine sanguine serenity... Maybe that went over some heads, too.
Rearguardness, we all have to pay the piper to dance...
Walk OFF, Hang LOOSE, or Rock ON & Keep the Money in the Piggybank, Perhaps Then I'll (as well as the bankers) Be Able T' Saddle Mine UP to Fly Over There, knowing My Faith Isn't Negotiable, But Fate Always Is,
Rocket
PS-time for some musical epilog to this...hmmm..lessee...The Storm, nah, Stone Cold Hearted, naw, Trouble Is My Business, eh eww, aha The Good Luck You're Having- safely & reasonably devisive and / or decisive...PERFECT...it's all perceptions...Hmmm Horn Section, Special...hmm...A blasting horn section sure wood make that extra special, Natasha, especially if announced to be performed next March at one of Joe Bonamassa's Hammersmith Apollo shows-I'd pay over 10 times my body weight in kilograms as British Pounds to be there and witness THAT
PPS-Michael, I'd pay that calculated price for your ticket too
