so.........shall I assume you are writing a song with these lyrics ?
May-be someone else can. My most musical talent is to love and appreciate those who know how to make it. Even my singing to a nervous, inexperienced horse while riding has been some what impaired from the removal of my thyroid gland. So far though they haven't found me so far off key as to buck me off!

Hey Jo, where you going with that hijacked topic in your hand? Great Lone Watie quote! The is a great quote thread amongst our cyber-jumble here! https://forum.jbonamassa.com/viewtopic.php?id=7374
This is supposed to hinge on song lyrics which "speak for themselves" (not just the poster, yeah right), and specifically those with 6 words or less. No need to credit, although you can (can help with referencing for emphasis, perhaps). Regardless, it's all good and fun.
It's great to have your unbridled participation on the forum. JaneH, jim m, myself will show you how to giddyup, I think you are already broken in. Fancy walking is up to you, Lady!
So I will show my hypocrisy plainly by adding another Chief Dan George as "Lone Watie" in Josey Wales great quote:
"I guess I ain't so old after all"

Thanks Rocket, I really appreciate the guidance. I think that is why I am so very up front about my lack of skills.
I could really tell that this is a great place to remain authentic, even if I can also tell most folks know what they are doing on the forum. All have been so kind and helpful.
I thought the comment from Jane regarding the idea that what I wrote was from a song I was trying to write, was just because I had put capital letters on each word. Now I see, the correction.
My daughter just the other day informed me that all caps is like yelling in e-mail language, not for emphasis. I can't believe that I am loud, even when typing!!
May-be we should start a western movie "thread" and find out what Bonamaniacs like in that department.
I would say I am green broke at best, but willing and not too spooky, if I had to describe myself in horse speak.
Let's not call your quote hypocrisy, let's call it a kindness, so I don't feel alone.
I will will try my best to learn quick.

Another notch on my guitar.......
LOVE that line!! Classic Robert Cray. I may have even quoted it years back here.

Jane,
Its funny how many times fans will yell a request out to Bonnie at a concert to play this song. She retired this song years ago, Bonnie considers it officially part of her past. As Bonnie says, learn from the past and leave the past behind. But, regardless, the song is still a fan fav!!
