I'll be watching when I can. Disappointed that the San Diego area is shunned again. I guess that hors climb up Palomar was not well received with the finish then on a 5 mile killer 3% grade with no rest, which took out the sprinters before they had a chance.

I'll post a link to the climax of today's Giro stage, which finished uphill through the medieval alleys of Assisi - astonishing geography and some amazing riding.

By contrast, as Jdawg said, today's ToC stage features a serious climb. The live tv coverage is on here between around 11 pm and 1 am. Last night was definitely worth staying up for, some spectacular scenery, young and unknown names in the picture, and yet another pretty easy victory for Peter Sagan, who looks like he could own this race if he can avoid losing too much time on the steepest climbs.

Two exciting stage races on simultaneously, happy days.

G Dawg, hit my FB page for a great pic of the leaders about an hour from the finish. None of them won the stage, Pagan took it again. It was fun watchin' the guys fly by, then almost 8 min. later the pack flew by, only to catch the leaders at the end. Awesome display of cycling talent. Of course a few packs of wannabe's rode past the spectators before the real competitors showed up. Look at me, look at me, serious lack of self esteem. There's some in every crowd.

Dawg, I looked for you yesterday, but the coverage was limited. My favorite sight this week was a guy standing beside the road holding a sign that read "Inspirational poster".   Full props to Sagan!! He hardly looks tired at the end!!  So much young talent as well as venerated "old" guys. I also give the area a 10 for beauty. Racing down Pacific Highway one minute then a turn and you're in the mountains. Stunning. This Tour warrants the praise. World Class all the way   Cathy

I have just witnessed one of the most fantastic day's racing ever - the Queen's stage of the Giro finishing on an absolute monster mountain - where a totally unexpected rider, Thomas de Gendt from the small Dutch Vacansoleil team, rode away from the field and hung on for a glorious victory, one that gives him an outside chance of taking the overall win after tomorrow's concluding TT.

Will post a film when available.

I just watched the final 20k. It was a great ride by de Gendt, a great win for him and Vacansoleil. Should be an interesting TT tomorrow. Hopefully de Gendt can at least get on the podium after todays effort.

Wow, what an heroic ride on a brutal climb. One for the ages! Thanks again, that was really special.

The witch hunt continues as Armstrong is hounded again. One wonders who's agenda is being pushed. He says he's done with it and will not defend any more charges. I don't blame him.
