I personally, not speaking for Joe, don't recommend shouting out "show off" or anything really, during Woke Up Dreaming. Nor screeching! It distracts, in my opinion. Not just Joe, in my opinion, but audience members as well. Some people cannot help themselves, I understand that, I understand exhuberance believe me, it does add some life and color to a show, but the master is at work, so I sit in rapt attention to every note (to the extent that I can keep up with every note). Calling Joe Bonamassa a show off is certainly not along the lines of Jerry Lee Lewis or Jimi Hendrix literally torching their instruments now, is it?! HE is on fire!!! I do believe an entire audience clapping the rhythmic intro buildup is not only appropriate, but not a distraction as it is interactive and (hopefully) on time and augments the music well for it's brief duration. Anyways, do what you feel, it is not a major crime or anything.
