Hey Rocket , I have seen your name around here alot . How do I go about a meet and greet for the May 8th show in Springfield ?  I have a Bonamassa Gold Top that I would love to have signed.  I sent a couple of emails to people that were suggested to me but never heard back from anyone .   Wish I knew my way around here better .

Re: Springfield Birthday Show

Went to the Birthday show and it was all I expected . We got to meet Joe at the Meet and Greet . He signed my authenticity card for my Gold Top and we got some pictures with him too. I will try to post them when i figure out how to do it. At the end of the show , Joe threw his sun glasses into the crowd and my girl friend caught them. She gave them to me and I now have them in my guitar case with my Gold Top. I am a happy camper. We gave Joe a bottle of wine for his Birthday , hope he enjoys . Does it get any better than that ?   I want to thank everyone here on this forum that gave me advice on how to get to meet Joe. I want to especially thank Bill Twomey . Bill , you are the Man.

You're very welcome John! Glad you had an awesome time! I have never heard of Joe throwing his sunglasses into the crowd.. how cool is that!?

Bill

Re: Springfield Birthday Show

I've been to six of Joes shows, never saw him throw his
glasses, some people have all the luck.
Good for you !!

Re: Springfield Birthday Show

Well, he did throw them into the audience at RAH - and the look on Patty's face when they went sailing way above her head is priceless!  In Iowa  they were selling "cheap sunglasses" at the merch table and Joe was wearing them for Just Got Paid - and those went sailing into the audience that night, too.  New souvenir?  Good luck, folks!

Re: Springfield Birthday Show

His birthday show was great!! My friends really don't know about him yet, he's not on the radio so they don't lesson to his music, i tell them he is like BB King and Stevie ray Vaughan had a love child, To me the best part was he signed my ticket and my Epiphone DOT on his 35th birthday.

Re: Springfield Birthday Show

Birthday show was great!

I thought for sure he was going to do a Robert Johnson when he talked about the two sharing a birthday. It was the perfect segue way for it to happen, but I think he started into Lonesome Road Blues.

Anyways it was a great show. During Woke Up Dreaming a guy yelled "show off" and Joe flipped him in the bird. It was hilarious.

Joe never disappoints.
