Topic: Suggestions on repairing a neck.
My favorite guitar had an accident a few years ago that I really don't care to get to get into what happened but some of you know. Anyway there is a stress crack running with the grain from the back of the head stock. It starts around the back of the neck at about the nut, and goes up through the the tuner holes ans stops at about the G string tuner. So far I can bolt the hardware on and keep string tention on it no problem. but I'm afraid its expanding and contracting and even though I don't have a problem now I think I will in the future. The crack is so fine I can't get a needle in the crack to put glue in place to stop the contracting. I can force it open but and might be able to get a needle in that way to glue it but I'll have to get a buddy to help me. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this? I'm currently not using the neck because of this and the frets have 10 years of abuse to them so I bolted my V neck to my american Stratocaster. I like this neck but miss my 9.5 radius the 7.25 makes bending fun if you know what I mean. I find that the V neck has me playing fast little country licks more because I dislike bending on it and the 9.5 radius american neck just excel's in everything for me.
