Re: Unbelievable Blizzard

Brrrrr looks like you guys are suffering.  Thank goodness in the south of the UK we only get light snowfalls in winter, but even 3cm is enough to grind the whole country to a halt  roll

Wrap up warm and drive safe.

Re: Unbelievable Blizzard

My dear Patty,

What are you smiling about? wink Mother nature has painted a big bullseye on the area that we live and you're smiling? Oh my aching back! Had at least 10 inches if not more of heavy, wet concrete like snow in my driveway this morning. That was after shoveling it out last night. Got up at 4:00 AM and even the 8 hp snowblower was choking on this crap! Totally impossible to shovel it by hand; even a small shovel full was back breaking. And more to come! Followed by strong northwest winds and single digit temperatures! sad

You know, each year that I get older the same question always comes to me after a snow fall like this. And that question is, What am I still doing living here? roll

Dreaming of Cancoon again......... cool

Oh and by the way Lyn, that's a lovely picture of you! Here's another of happier times:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/8384830@N0 … 059666620/

Re: Unbelievable Blizzard

Love it! Although for us it was nothing really, only about 8 in. of snow so far.

Blizzards are cool! (no pun intended)

Re: Unbelievable Blizzard

My wife is from that neck of the woods and says you are all crazy for sticking it out there. We just had a "severe winter storm" here in socal. Rained an inch and blew 60 for a while.  smile

Roy. My co-worker from Framington Minn. says that is why you hire the neighbor kid to do the shoveling. tongue (he left and came to socal too)

Re: Unbelievable Blizzard

My co worker says don't forget to be standing on the roadside with a bottle of brandy when the snowplow comes by so the driver will fill the neighbor's driveway and not yours.  lol

If you can't take heat, get outta the kitchen, don't whine about it year after year.
