Thanks for helping, Lee! The link works. Shipping should be included by buying Joe's lithographs in the price, too ...

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Release date of Walter's new CD " The Blues Came Callin' " will probably be 30, May in Europe.

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Just heard that Walter is undergoing surgery.

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Walter is blessed that a suitable liver finally has been found. How cool is this: They play Walter's music during the surgery!
My thoughts are with him, his wonderful strong wife Marie and his sons. The first step to a new and better life is done. In God I trust that he will get through this hard and tough stage of his life. There's only ONE who has to decide over to be or not to be ...
Get well soon, Walter!!!

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Let´s hope that all goes well !!!
Time will tell...
Best wishes for a full recovery...

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

So far so good. Marie posted that Walter is in recovery and all went as well as could be hoped for during the surgery. I happened to watch a dvd of John Mayall's  Bluesbreakers with Walter and Coco Montoya last night from 1984 and had him on my mind. His stage antics haven't changed a bit after all these years. Praying we all get to see him take the stage again.

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Well, how' s Walter doing? He is back home since Sept,3 " and his ability to play is intact". Walter attended his own tribute show on Aug,31!
By the way: He won the British Blues Award 2014 again. Congratulation!
I hope he will be back on the road on tour in 2015 as planned...Thumbs up!

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

The pictures I've seen lately of him look like he has gained some weight and color. He is far from the end of healing but well on the road to recovery it seems, That makes a lot of people very happy,.

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Very good report on his state of being in Classic Rock Issue 201, which was the July Issue I think. I am a couple of months behind reading them at the moment. But this conversation seemed to take place at the end of May beginning of June.

He was very moved by the campaign to fund his treatment and it will also allow him to stay on the sidelines fully funded throughout 2014 and the first part of next year. He has had a lot of issues following the transplant although these are not connected to the liver he got. It was a quite revealing conversation he had with CR.

It seems that his forearm muscles are so weak that it is going to take a helluva time to get back the strength to play again. He says that if he can't do it properly he won't try to do it 'half-assed', so there is a lot riding on his recovery.

Danny Bryant is using his band on the US dates to keep them working whilst Walter's son opens up for him. Interesting, the relationship they seem to have.

He is a fighter, thats for sure. Honest enough to admit that his lifestyle is what has brought him to this point. Hopefully this chance hasn't come too late.

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

I will bet he gets back to playing however time frame could change pending how the rehab goes.

Re: Walter Trout in need of help

Following Walter's successful liver transplant there has been a recent set-back.
Lets hope it's not too serious.

Walter is better again. Fingers crossed! He had a new stent inserted and appears to once again be on the upswing wink
