Re: Milwaukee - March 8
I seldom post, but was at the show in Milwaukee last night with a friend and Joe and the band were SMOKIN!! The kid at the end was really amazing too - thanks to whoever posted his name, we've been trying to figure it out.
The only real complaint I have is that Joe is not playing hardly anything pre-'You & Me'. "Mountain Time" and "Blues Deluxe" were all we got. I love the new stuff, but I miss the boogie! Would love to hear some stuff from "Blues Deluxe" and "Had To Cry To Today" put back in the set list and see him bust out a Strat from time to time.
But performance-wise, WOW. Just amazing as usual. My friend Jon who came with had never seen Joe before and was totally blown away. Cool venue too! Nice sound, good beer prices, and a full house that was going crazy.
I hear ya on hearin the older songs too.But when your an "old "veteran with so much to choose from its got to be hard to have time to play all the fans want to hear.you know Joe doesnt have too many 2 minute songs lol.But I will agree with BIll S here that its a great set list,I am glad there was alot of the new cd.Love the songs and it is something different to hear. I am with you as alot of us that would love Pain and Sorrow.I was never lucky enough to hear live. But what ya goona do ,maybe hell pull it back out in the future some time.
Your hard sweet and sticky
