I hear ya on hearin the older songs too.But when your an "old "veteran with so much to choose from its got to be hard to have time to play all the fans want to hear.you know Joe doesnt have too many 2 minute songs lol.But I will agree with BIll S here that its a great set list,I am glad there was alot of the new cd.Love the songs and it is something different to hear. I am with you as alot of us that would love Pain and Sorrow.I was never lucky enough to hear live.But what ya goona do ,maybe hell pull it back out in the future some time.

It sounds like a twist of Flamenco and yeah i can hear Faux Mantini in there Jim from what i saw of the Elgin Video , Like to see the finish in Flamenco style too with that stamping heel thing as a beat always liked it when those guys done that

Definitely agree, and obviously he's going to want to play plenty from the new album.  I guess I just feel like the last couple of years that Joe is kind of 'shunning' his earlier work, as if he doesn't feel it is up to par.  I love the new stuff, but it's missing some of the swagger and boogie of the old material.  Almost everything on 'Sloe Gin' and 'John Henry' is much more plodding and slower tempoed, so it would be nice to see him throw stuff like 'You Upset Me Baby", 'Travellin' South', 'Never Make Your Move...", "Pack It Up", etc... into the set to add some variety.

These are minor complaints of course - any Joe show is an amazing Joe show!!  : )

If you have normal, proper protection then you have nothing to fear from torrent sites like Dime. I've downloaded more gigs than I can count and never had any problem.

Have to say I was BLOWN AWAY AGAIN !!!! at how JB and his KICK **** BAND Sounded and YES THEY ARE TIGHT. I love the NEW and the OLD songs .

I love Elgin and always will , but Turner Hall is a thing of Beauty what a place for a concert .

I know some were expecting a lengthy review of last nights Milwaukee show and trust me, I will to do one. However, when a guy sees two of the greatest shows and an absolute fantastic guitar clinic all within 24 hours of one another, it takes a heck of a lot out of you. Last night around midnight, I called my work and told them I would be taking Monday off. To say I'm burnt out is an understatement, but give me a couple of days and I'll post a review complete with pictures and a little video. There is much to tell.....

Until then, I'd love to share two very special things that happened that I was lucky enough to capture on video. The first is what I've entitled, "Joe gives Tallan a lesson", and the other is, "Tallan's dream comes true". Both of these "happenings" were totally unplanned, spur of the moment things. On the second one when Joe leaned over and said, "Roy, on my signal boost Tallan onto the stage", I almost fell over. I'll post a review under a separate topic in a couple of days. But until then......

Roy,
Glad you got that 2nd one on tape, because it was fun to watch.
I think Joe and the band may have enjoyed that as much as Tallen did. They were grinning from ear to ear...me too!
I imagine Tallen will be telling that story for quite some time.

My buddy Dave was sitting on the other side of Tallen. I told him during the show that he was sitting next to a prodigy, but I'm not sure he believed me. He helped Roy lift Tallen onto the stage, then became a believer.

I gotta say, it was good seeing everyone again from the Shank Hall days where we froze our butts off outside.  My significant other, Chrissie, would have come but couldn't take Monday off from work.

I know what you're saying but trust me, I was more nervous for Tallan than Tallan ever was. I've seen this happen to Tallan many times now and each time, Tallan is just really excited to get up on stage without fear of anything. For the past week he had been telling his dad Carl that he was going to play with Joe. Carl made it clear that he didn't think it would happen. Actually, he told him it wouldn't, but Tallan held fast in his mind that it would.

No one in the crowd suspected this was going to take place and that's why when Joe leaned over and told me to boost Tallan up on his signal, it shocked the heck out of me. We all know how much of a perfectionist Joe is and to have him do that for Tallan, just blew everyone in the place away. Then in typical Tallan fashion, he gets up there and just kills it.

By the way, Tallan was wearing a JB baseball cap that somone in the audience gave him just prior to the show. It was an emotional event for everyone that knows Tallan and I'm sure it's a moment that Tallan will never, ever forget in his life.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank one and only one man who made this happen. And that man's name is Joe Bonamassa.

Joe has good nights, Great nights and WOW nights, never any bad nights. This was a WOW NIGHT. I know some people complain because he does not play a whole lot of his early stuff, Joe has put out so many cd's in a short period of time that it is difficult to fit it all in. He is one of those artist that has very little if any filler on any of his cds so no matter what he plays as long as he gives it his all (with lots of guitar solos) I am happy. I sure do wish he still played Fenders and his Gilotti, I really miss that. It used to be so cool to see him play all the different guitars because you get to see what each guitar offers. Some songs are better for a Strat and other for the Les Paul. Oh well, I would watch Joe if he played a no name cheap guitar everynight because Im sure he would make it sing.

Being a person that used to frequent concerts in my youth, Turner Hall had that feel (retro) I kept hearing about the standing room only and the small tables in front but kudos to the staff, there were rows of chairs set up and the place was packed..

I sat with the Rev and his lovely wife along with my buddy from the windy city Ben no more than 15ft from the stage. I saw the band the night before in Elgin ( another great venue) but different in the sense that Turner Hall was Buzzing

I understand what you are saying about the rock poses but dont you think it is nice to have a real guitar hero these days with all the manufactured crap music out there. Growing up we had Jimmy Page doing all the moves now we have Joe. The thing about his poses are you can tell they come from emotion just like JP. Rock on.
