Topic: Newbie - Illinois

Hello - I am Todd - just registered. I have been a fan since 2004. I actually heard Joe on XM radio of all places. He was getting fairly regular play. I don't even remember which song it was, but every time I heard it I kinda stopped what i was doing trying to figure out who the hell was playing. Eventually I wrote his name down and searched out the HTCT CD. Been a fan ever since. Saw Joe for the second time last night at Elgin community college about 15 miles from my house. Great show!! - glad to have someone so young to carry the torch I can cherish for years and years.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us and that you enjoyed the show on Saturday. I was also at the show.
I'm about 30 minutes (Crystal Lake) from ECC...where are you located?

Well this will appear to be post 1 for me, I moved lost password etc. anyway.. I was also at the Elgin Show attended the pre-dinner which was Great. Actually tried to get Tickets back in Dec SOLD OUT I was a sad boy. However my Brother in-law won tickets on NPR.. The seats were on the floor second row, I was just left of center stage. May have seen me jump up when Joe said The Ballad report card came in at #1.. I'm glad to be back this place is filled with Good People.. And man did Joe throw it down It Elgin. I still have a smile on my face..:D:D

Welcome Todd,

I registered sometime back but have never posted until today.  I too was at the Elgin show.  That was my 5th JB show and was the by far the best.  Every show gets better and better.  This show was my wife's first JB show and she had the privilege to meet Joe after the show.  I am hoping that she is now a fan.  He did make an impression.:cool:
