Topic: Harmonica player Mark Sallings has passed away...

I don't know if many of you guys knew him, but Mark Sallings died in car wreck on February 25, 2009 on his way to a gig. I had the good fortune to see him and his band, the Famous Unknowns, twice. He was an amazing harp, sax, and flute player. He was also a very gracious and sweet man who ate at our restaurant, and then later plugged us on stage. After the show, me and my buddy helped him sell cd's. I am deeply saddened. If you don't know him, find out about him. If you do, post some thoughts. His website:

Yeah, we've (Little Rock area) lost a few already this year. So sad about Mark. Tim Quertermous, Brady "Uncle Tam", and Ray Bell...........
