Topic: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

2 hours straight of Joe tearing it up last night at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg PA last night....!!!!!
Seeing Joe play the Flying V for the 1st time was pretty cool....although I like the Les Paul a bit better for the "Just got paid/Dazed Melody"
Great to see the loyal following and the other 800-900 there as well.....Thx,Joe....:)
(I'm trying to stay awake here at work this morning L.O.L)

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

My first JB concert was last night at The Palace Theatre.  Wow!  He can play.   Just tore it up.   I was hoping that someone here could tell me what the set list was last night.   I greatly enjoyed the show but I was generally unfamiliar with the songs and certainly their titles.  I would love to know if anyone could remember.

Will get that info up for you in a bit..........didn't get home till 2:15 and had to be at work at 7 this AM.  I took some incredible pics too!!!  2nd row center, I am still smiling!  I will post pics and set list soon.

Joe, you are an amazing artist!  Love you and thank you for 3 incredible shows.........

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

Just a great show.  Isn't that the truth?   As a guitarist myself it is both glorious and frustrating to watch him play.   He has just complete and utter mastery of that fretboard....I'm so envious.   Fun to watch though.    His vocals were stronger than I though they would too.

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

First Joe concert ever and the single best concert I've ever seen!!  All the guys I was with were saying how they wanted to add a Theremin to their rig now lol

A few of my best pics from the night (oh! the forum has image tags now!  I wonder if they'll work... ... nope.):

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

Having been fortunate to see Joe on two previous occassions, I am still amazed at his talent, speed, and the ability to grow musically.

The show a the Palace was a great blend of the new and the old and an unending display of guitar prowness and ever increasing vocal talent.

Joe has learned what many guitar slingers never learn, is that silence or one note can be just as moving as multiple power chords.

Joe, thanks for a great evening.  Greensburg wishes you all the best and please come back soon.

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

The show last night in Greensburg had to be Joe's best in the Pittsburgh area. I've seen him several times at the Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh and previously in Greensburg too. He has always amazed me, but was even more impressive this time. His guitar licks were spot on and his voice has never sounded so good. And he jammed out for two solid hours!! What a fantastic show!
Pittsburgh loves you Joe! Keep coming back.

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

The Palace was certainly on FIRE last night, OH YEAH!!  It was a packed house where loyal fans and friends got together to "rock out" to the jamming masters of rockin' blues......  Our own Joe, Bogie, Rick and Carmine.  You guys looked great and it was obvious that you were having a blast together up on stage.  Oh Joe, loved the cowboys boots.  Perfectly AWESOME show guys!  Thanks so much for coming back to Greensburg, PA.  Sorry I didn't get a chance to see you after the show.  Definitely will catch you next time.

You do know..........PITTSBURGH loves ya'.  Travel safely and have an "outstanding"  2009 tour.  See you this summer guys.

Nice to see all the support for Joe and the boys last night from our loyal and dedicated Pittsburgh groupies.  Must get back to work now.....

Hey Michael.  If you mean Starks 5867(Susan), I met her last year at a few of Joe's shows, and last night I saw her but didn't get a chance to speak with her.  However, I did have an opportunity to talk to Melissa and Dean.  It always great to see them!  I don't think Pittsburgh Jeff was there last night.

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

That was my second show in a WEEK, and I must say that it was the best week ive had in a long time haha. Joe absolutely tore it up. I was sitting with Susan in the second row (THANK YOU!!) and that was the closest ive seen joe in my (now) 6 times seeing him. Joe is a true class act and gentleman. My 22nd birthday was the day before the show, and i cant think of a better way to celebrate it. It was nice seeing dean and Melissa again too. Oh yea, i need to change my avatar. Joe knew exactly who i was haha... ill work on that tomorrow

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

Sounds like Pittsburgh was rocking for sure.  The venue seems like a pretty cool place.  We have seen Joe twice at Moondogs several years ago, but those days in venues like that are long gone.

Music is good for the Soul...

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

Thanks to you all in Pittsburg for your reviews. Sounds like another stellar performance from Joe and the boys.

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

Couldnt agree more with you guys about the caliber of the show. The whole band is just so tight. I took my girlfriend to the show (her first one).  She has heard quite a bit of Joes music and didnt quite get what my obsession with it was until she saw the fantastic performance they put on. She said there were a few moments when she was in awe of it. She is not quite ready to join the "cult" as she puts it but at least she gets it now. Hell she was singing John Henry in the shower the other morning !
I was under the impression there was to be an opening act (Willie Nelsons daughter). Was I wrong or did she scratch ?
Good to see you Tom and Barbara. How was dinner Don ? Sorry I didnt get a chance to talk to you and your wife. Also sorry I didnt get a chance to talk to you Susan,Melissa,Dean,guitarman19853 and anyone of you who i failed to mention........Jim what happened to you ?
Way to go Joe on another #1 debut. It is well deserved.
We went to see Motley Crue in Erie PA three days after we saw Joe. My g.f.'s fave band is Theory of a Deadman, who along with Hinder, were the opening acts. They were ok, but the Palace show just left too big of shoes to fill.
Hope to see you folks from here at another show soon....Darrin

Tell me about the car i saw parked outside your door ? Tell me what you left me waiting two or three hours for ? Tell me why when the phone rings, baby, your up and across the floor ? Please dont keep me wondering no more.....

Re: Palace show Greensburg Pa 3-4-09

This was my first Joe show, I've been a long time fan. Great show, the best concert I've seen in years. I'd sure like to see Joe play the Pittsburgh Blues Fest this or any year. He would be the best headliner there ever. They usually get thousands out there on Sunday, and that would be awesome for Joe to rock Hartwood Acres. I can only hope!
