What do you think Joe, another one for the collection? wink

Joe is the Best!

Re: Another new one from Gibson....

No tone knob...Joe is a tone knob freak!  I think it's kinda cool though, I just wish Gibson would stop drilling holes in their guitars.  Definately an attention grabber!

'67 and '74 Fender Twin Reverbs, '74 Marshall 1987 lead mkII, Metro Superlead 100. Pedals from TC Electronic, Ibanez, Dunlop, BK Butler, Electro-Harmonix, Fulltone, Maestro/Gibson, Loopmaster switching, VoodooLab, Boss. Gibson and Fender guitars, Dimarzio pickups.

Re: Another new one from Gibson....

I agreee...stop drilling holes in the guitars....The thing just doesn't appeal to me...

2009 Gibson Les Paul 1958 VOS (with black plastic)
2008 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Goldtop (with the cream plastic from the 58RI)
> Marshall Bluesbreaker 2 pedal >Boss sd-1> DD3 > Vox Ac15cc1

Re: Another new one from Gibson....

For those of us who like lighter guitars, I can see it. For me? I like my Explorer to be the weight of a freakin coffee table!

Let's blame Steve Vai, he's the one who started putting holes in guitars.

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

That's one UGLY guitar hmm

Normal Explorers are so nice as well.
Can't think what Gibson are up to here.

Re: Another new one from Gibson....

I think I remember seeing Argent in the early 70's (Russ Ballard) with a Strat with holes drilled in it big enough to hold it by.
