Dino, I thought you'd said goodbye to the blues? Surely there's a disco on or something else you can attend that weekend?

I'd pay money to see Shannon, Albert, and Tab. I've seen Smokin Joe. He can play. Never heard of anybody else must be local.
Hounds Tooth is a local group and are quite good.
Tab Benoit always brings it and puts on a great show.
Albert Cummings is a MUST see and if it's possible, I think an overnight trip to Wausau is in my future just to see him!
Suggest you take this one in Dino. I think Kristine sent me something regarding this festival via Facebook?
Now that I look at the website, I guess I'll be there on August 15th.

This is taking place over two days in Wausau, Wi. If you buy a ticket, you can stay at my house.
And I want to thank you Jane, for reading so very much into a simple posting that I cut and pasted from the agency putting on the festival. I made no comment at all. Love being criticized a a preemptive strike.
I asked what YOU thought. Not what I thought.
Please leave insulting entire demographics of persons and uttering gross generalizations about various ethnic groups to me.
I'm allowed because I have some of everything in me...and I'm good at it!
That show will most probably a HUGE bang for the buck, Dino. Nice group of artists.

After our last 'interaction' I was left with a strong realization that I don't think anything I ever said was interpreted by you the way it was intended, and I was interpreting the things you said to me very much in the way you describe my post from yesterday. I think the line-up rocks. Not bad for a town the likes of Wausau. If you remember, not too many summers ago, Joe Bonamassa was at our little Blues Fest. Then last year Anna Povich (sp?) knocked my socks off! And now, there are quite a few artists that I'm thrilled to be able to see. Especially in this venue. Of course I'm biased... But there is no better venue that an island in the Wisconsin River in the middle of August. My only issue is why the dang festival has to be right about the time I'm due to give birth?!
So, Dino will you be there?
Anyone else have an interest in going and wants any details on lodging in the area, tickets, etc. just let me know. No, I don't work for this event or any of the artists - just want to help fellow travelers and music lovers enjoy my town and the event 
P.S. I had a small bit of energy left this Friday night and decided check out the Forum as I haven't been in awhile... and imagine my surprise to find this post. Not only is it about a fest in my town, has a line-up I'm into, plus BONUS, I get to laugh at Dino and Jane banter. This is a banner day! I've communicated with both of them enough to understand their different styles a bit... enough to laugh. Dino, you sort of have to admit that Jane has a point (okay, check that, you won't admit to a thing I know - but she has your Forum experience summarized pretty accurately me thinks!). She means it lovely. RIGHT Jane? Love and Light people

Dino seems to get beat up here periodically. Sometimes (to me) it seems warranted...this time (to me) it didn't.
Of course, it appears there's some history I don't know about.
Thanks for the heads up about some names I didn't recognize..esp. Shannon....The setting sounds wonderful too. I am a huge Albert fan and encourage all to see him when you get a chance! I'm happy that he is getting more gigs outside of the northeast. Tab is always worth the price of admission. Smokin Joe is another master player..I love "You better stop drinking that wine Sonny Boy....my song to Andre 
Dino..You posted this announcement as a question and maybe that lead to assuming you would be giving an answer..thus confusion about your intent.??? I say, support live music any chance you get!!!

If you'll notice Kristine is from Wausau and so is Dino. And I think they know each other fairly well. Of course, I could be wrong as I have never met either of them. Actually, I had a chance to meet Dino after Joe's show in Wausau 11/6/07. I, along with Lee and Renee and Jacque and Ken were standing there talking to Carmine. Apparently, Dino thought we were waiting for Joe, which we weren't. We were just saying goodbye to one another when Joe then appeared. It's too bad Dino didn't come up and introduce himself to us, but maybe he's just a little shy.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure Kristine has told me that she's worked with Dino to promote Joe in that part of our State. Of course, again I could be wrong as my memory isn't as good as it used to be. I now only remember parts of everything.

AFter the show in Wausau I needed to get home to write the review. I stood on the side of the stage through the whole show, took notes, talked to Joe on the cell on the car rride home.
Had deadline.
As far as this goes, I did not state any opinion, did not give any opinion, nothing in the words I said would lead anyone to infer anything as far as my opinion.
At home, I got yelled at already, for anything negative I might say, which I have not said, or apparently think about this festival.
I have not said, or thought anything about this. I put it up. Thats it.
