I've had my eye on Janiva Magness myself and highly recommend Shades of Blue, the album she did with Kirk Fletcher and Kim Wilson.  Really like "That's Why I'm Cryin'"!  She's the real deal.  Thanks Jeff for reminding me about her.

You're right!  The real deal.  I was hoping someone here would enjoy a sister singing that R & B based blues.  That album you mention is KILLER!

Janiva can set a stage on fire.  Even in Dallas, where they've seen it all I've seen guys stand up and risk eternal warming for a chance to...um...oh well... and their wives love her too.

The album cover for Janiva's Do I Move You? is right up there with the best I've seen - HOT!!  And of course she backs up the presentation..vbg!
